Aye

Minors should be in school or having fun with their friends or family, not at work

Should something like this ever pass, I know it would be very frustrating to the youth in our nation.

Yes, how awful to not subject them to wage labor at a young age. Roll Eyes

Individuals at that age should be able to make their own conscious choice on whether they wish to earn money for nice things/saving for college or simply focus on academics. Unfortunately, not all of us have the means to pay for college with no debt. Find a financially sustainable way to provide higher education for free and I would be happy to revisit this topic.

It actually ended just four hours ago. I was planning to end it when I started the Drug bill amendment vote, but that is still not been on the floor long enough.

Vote on Amendment 57:18 by TNF:

Aye (3): Gass3268, TNF and Xahar
Nay (5): Maxwell, NC Yankee, sbane, TJ in Cleve, and Tmthforu94
Abstain (0):

Didn't Vote (2): bore (two hours late) and Napoleon

With five votes in the negative, the amendment has been rejected.

Offering this as an amendment (perhaps it will be more palatable):

The original text was fine on the ages, methinks.

Aye.
I doubt it's going to affect many kids anyways since people usually wouldn't even hire people who are younger than that.

I started that vote 28 minutes too early. For some reason I keep looking at the wrong posts when checking time stamps lately.
