In regards to child labor, how would you feel about prohibiting those fourteen and younger from working, allow it for 16+, and for 15, only allow a limited number of hours per week? My suggestion would be less than four hours per day and less than twelve hours per week, which is what I believe the law is in Indiana. While I supported Maxwell's amendment as a whole, I am also weary of clause six, though I think we primarily oppose it for different reasons (court involvement for me).

The problem with doing sh**t in the early morning hours is that all the deadlines set expire in the early morning hours. Tongue

Since I haven't been able to get a response from TNF yet, I object to the amendment.

If such will satisfy the desires of your constituents Senator, I encourage you to do so.

The faster we complete amendments, the faster all Senators, yourself included, will have their fair shot at getting their concerns and issues addressed, which is what I desire most.

Which reminds me, this vote we are in now is only for three days courtesy of that OSPR Amendment passing after just two hours and some change at final vote.

I sympathize with the pay period requirement, but I worry it would put people out of work if applied uniformly to businesses that cannot sustain it for practical reasons.

So nay

Some of the amendments you put in there I would consider friendly (I.e. Prison Labor), however, on the whole (especially on pay periods), I have to object.

There's a procedure for that, Maxwell. Specify everything that's friendly and everything that isn't, and (IIRC) the PPT can hold separate votes with the consent of the Senator offering the amendment.

I did not know that. Okay, I will make specific what I want to keep and what I want in:

Those changes are friendly.

And Out:

These changes are hostile.

Yes I recall doing that once before though I don't remember on what. It basically splits the amendment in two.

Since this was ignored the first time I posted, my question for TNF:

Wait, what? Do I have to give feedback even though I sponsored the bill, or?
