Pretty sad how not supporting the collapse of the economy for the sake of politics is considered a 'moderate' position for some to take these days.

The debt ceiling is the dumbest concept in all of politics, especially since the Gephart Rule went out of fashion.

I thought the sequester was Harry Reid's idea.  Anyway, Obama got talked into it.

Merits aside, no president is going to accept having their signature piece of legislation defunded over a debt ceiling threat. Or should.  He might cave on the delay of the individual mandate for a year, but that's probably all.

Did anyone see the video made by Republicans showing the Obama administration stating they'd negotiate with Vladamir Putin, but then saying they won't negotiate with Republicans?
