As the Attorney General-designate, I feel I should outline some of my goals, should I become Attorney General. My main goal is to create a single thread where Atlasians can find the status of laws, previous statutes, a copy of the constitution, and major Supreme Court cases. Later on, I would like to group laws according to topic (such as laws related to voting, or those related to defense) to make things easier for the average Atlasian. This transition office will serve as the thread where people can make suggestions and initially help me get the threads below up to date. If anyone has any suggestions, go ahead and post your ideas in this thread. If I am confirmed, I will create a permanent Office of the Attorney General Thread, which will be updated on a regular basis.

6th Senate Current status of bills, amendments, and resolutions

Atlasian Statutes

Legislation Introduction Thread

The "Current status of bills, amendments, and resolutions" thread is obsolete now that we have a new senate session; all legislation there needs to be reintroduced.  I'd just start a new thread on that.

PS: If you do, could you please make sure the legislation is posted in chronological order?  I have no clue how Harry ordered it last time, but everything was out of order and it made my job a lot harder having to look at the date of every single piece of legislation to find out which is the right one to open debate on first. I wish MHS the best of luck, and I plan on a speedy nomination process, so you can get right to work.

I'd like to inform you that the Statute thread has been poorly maintained during Harry's tenure. It is missing a couple of bits of legislation, as well as having others mistitled, or missing amendments that were introduced during debate. I have maintained a full list on the Wiki.

Gabu--I did it by category.

Anyhow, MHS, I'm sure you'll do a great job.

For starters, I'm going to update the statute page on Wiki (getting rid of the red links, basically) and the statute page on the forum. Don't hesitate to let me know of any suggestions or corrections.

One thing I've noticed: On the Forum statute page, the acts from the 5th session aren't in the proper order numerically (I think) and it's missing some acts. I may just create a new statute thread to make it easier.

statue ... statue ... statue ... statue

I think you mean statute.  A statue is a slab of mineral that has been carved in an artistic manner. Smiley

For the most part, this page is done. I'm going to use this page instead of the thread on the forum from now on to list new laws.
