So I hate to be this guy, but, under the by-laws as is, isn't the Vice Chair Position vacant now that PJ is Chair?
I can resign and run for vice chair.

We could do that. I am confused on what we can do to be serious.

Apologies, I've been rather swamped today. The amendment is adopted. I now call for a vote for Chair. There will be a 48 hour nomination period. GAworth and Superique's nominations will still be considered valid.

I am not sure if this need a second, so in caution and expediency I second.

My fellow Progressives,
I stand before you to ask for your support as Chair of the Party. I know like many of you I was surprised and sadden to see Siren step aside as our Chair, I hope she will continue to be a strong voice within our Party.  I am standing for chair because I believe we can become a true alternative, a party to be respected, not one that is denigrated. We will have detractors, but you know what I’ve always said, “if the right is yellin’ at you and the left is yellin’ at you, you must be doin’ somethin’ right.”
The job of chair is not glamorous, it involves work and planning.  I promise to hit the ground running. First I will start a review of our by-laws, though only a month or so old, they need work. I will push for a common message for the party, while respecting individual differences. I support the idea of a shadow cabinet, I believe that it should, however, not placed in our by-laws but a free obligation that individuals wish to take up. I will start planning for our convention, so it can run smoothly and efficiently and timely. Furthermore, in the upcoming election I will be asking for the party to go out and campaign for our candidates. No one person can do this alone. I ask for your help.  My door will always be open to feedback and opinions from all of you. Together we can make this party what we all know it can be.
Thank you,
GAworth

Folks of the Progressive Union,

I know that some of you may consider me an outsider that doesn't really care about our Great Party but I do care about it. I feel that we have a terrible problem on this party and we must solve it very quickly if we want to survive: we are very active when elections are happening but when they are over we are constantly focusing on minor issues like partisan conflicts and matters that will not change anything. I want to change that, I want to make the Progressive Union a place for discussion, for debates and open for a varied set of propositions. What is our agenda for Education? What do we want for our Healthcare System? And how about the Unemployment? I know that we have an agenda but if we want to get one day at the Presidency we must show ourselves as very productive citizens and that is why I hope that I could bring to this party. Furthermore, I want that we create our Shadow Cabinet, I'm looking forward to increase the number of members and I want to have our first Senator elected.

That is it for now,

Have a good day folks!

On a vote of 5-1, GAworth is elected Chair! I move for an election for Vice-Chair, since that is vacant. I will also run for Vice-Chair.
