Yes, actually.

I find myself in ruts, without energy to workout, or go to work, or craving some unhealthy diet, I just think "that's the Bushie thing to do" and persevere through it.

Perhaps that was the point of this whole story all along.

It is a reminder that one needs to keep moving in life - physically and mentally. If you don't you fall apart, and ever faster as you age. One reason I am a gym rat, and watch my diet, is fear, yes fear, of the consequences of not doing so. All of the money in the world is next to useless, if you don't have your physical and mental health.

No, but like Torie, I'm an old who has worked hard all of his life.  (Normal)

Heck no.  Don't you guys realize that opting out and avoiding toils - avoiding the terrible trap of 'giving in to toils' - is the hard road?  Bushie is a hero and role model for all the youth.

No, but it makes me thankful for my life, warts and all.

Bushie's story lets me know that, no matter what I become in life, I'll always have a moderate level of success so long as I usurp my friends and family.

It is a reminder to be an independent thinker and continue to push yourself as hard as you can. Never settle for mediocrity when you have no reasons to settle for it. Stay hungry. I never want to be satisfied.

If anything it inspires me to work less. I figured I would've starved if I focused on Christmas as much as Bushie but he makes it work.

In a way. If a sedentary person can eat like that, so can I, and I do - no excuses for remaining a stickly and totally average health-conscious dweeb, fellas. Become a monster of a man with the Great One in mind.

Every now and then I'll get lazy about something but then I'll think, "oh no I'm thinking like Bushie" and such a thought will always provoke me into action. A desire to not be like Bushie was honestly about 75% of my motivation when I decided to start eating healthier.

Bushie allowed himself to be crucified on a cross made of poverty, obesity and sloth, and in doing so saved all of our souls. Bless him and his selfless sacrifice.

And now, several months later, you only eat three hamburgers for dinner. And because they're hamburgers from home, they're healthier for you! It's like you're eating negative calories at that point!

The only thing Bushie's "story" inspired me to do is take a shower to wash away the stupidity that he may have rubbed on me.

Bushie wasn't born into poverty. Poor people don't get to live on 5 acres and eat out every single day. My mom was a teacher before she retired, and while we were obviously not poor either, it seems that Bushie enjoys a higher standard of living than we did. I also wonder if Bushie tithes 10% of what his parents give him. Isn't that required?

For God so loved man that he gave up his only son so that we may have salvation and eternal life. And then he gave up some guy in Oklahoma to teach us all a lesson about getting to the gym on a semi-regular basis and not totally slacking off at work.

Bushie's role as a sort of forum piņata seems basically fine as he's more than consented to it (and deserves the abuse), but... well... this idea... a little unpleasantly Smilesian, don't you think?
