Interesting. Morning Joe has always come off like a hackish moderate hero to me; we'll see if America agrees or not.

I would love to vote enthusiastically with Scarborough/Ryan, but at least Sandoval and Scott Brown makes it closer... Mitch Daniels sadly is a no. Sad

Scarborough, Sandoval Nominated in Tampa

AP -- August 30, 2012

Two-term Senator Joe Scarborough (R-FL), a former Florida Representative and MSNBC “Morning Joe” host, was officially nominated this evening by the Republican Party at their convention in Tampa Bay, Florida. In an attempt to counter the African-American Vice President, Barack Obama, Senator Scarborough selected the Hispanic Governor Brian Sandoval (R-NV) as his running mate. Senator Scarborough portrayed himself as a moderate and pointed to his record of “compassionate conservatism”. In his speech, Senator Scarborough announced that he would keep the NHS is place, but repeal the portion of the law that creates a tax if you do not have an acceptable level of health insurance as well as other “serious reforms”.

Rodham, Obama Re-Nominated in Charlotte

AP -- September 3, 2012

President Hillary Rodham (D-NY) was re-nominated this evening, along with Vice President Barack Obama. In her speech President Rodham highlighted her presidency so far: her drawdown of troops in Iraq, the death of Osama Bin Laden, and the passage of the NHS. Touting the NHS may come back to hurt the President, as polls show only 43% of Americans have a favorable view of the NHS.

The NHS is nearly identical to the ACA, but also creates a free-to-use, Federally run, medical clinics.

Lol omg, Scarborough goes higher after the DNC? F***.

Joe went up because Hillary focused on the NHS, which most people aren't fans of...yet.

Rodham, Scarborough Debate in Chicago

AP -- October 15, 2012

The first and only debate of the 2012 Presidential Election was held this evening in Chicago. The debate, moderated by CNN’s John King, covered a wide variety of topics but focused mostly on the NHS, set to be fully implemented in 2015. President Hillary Rodham (D-NY) defended her signature piece of legislation, saying that it “provides affordable healthcare” and creates “low-cost medical clinics from coast-to-coast.” Senator Joe Scarborough (R-FL), who voted to repeal the NHS once and abstained from a second vote, said that he would issue a waiver to all 50 states and allow them to “opt-out” of the NHS, should their legislature and Governor chose to do so. Another topic of discussion was the War in Iraq, which both candidates called for a gradual end to. Senator Scarborough said that he would “wait until the generals advised” his to withdraw the troops, while President Rodham promised to “end combat in Iraq” by March 1, 2014. Both candidates continued their support for the War in Afghanistan. In an unprecedented move President Rodham announced that she supported gay marriage “on a personal level”. Senator Scarborough would not state his personal stance on gay marriage, saying that it should be “left up to the states” to decide LGBT laws.

Electoral Map, Post-Chicago Debate

President Hillard D. Rodham/Vice President Barack H. Obama (D) - 233
Senator Charles J. Scarborough/Governor Brian E. Sandoval (R) - 217
Fmr. Governor Sarah L. Palin/Texas Attorney General Rafael E. Cruz (TP) - 3

Campaigns Battle Via Bus Tours

AP -- November 1, 2012

Due to only one debate being agreed to this election cycle the three campaigns have been dueling it out with bus tours and campaign rallies. Senator Joe Scarborough (R-FL) has been on a week-long barnstorming tour of Iowa, Indiana, Ohio, and Virginia with Governor John Kasich (R-OH), House Majority Whip Paul Ryan (R-WI), as well as Governor/Senate Candidate Bob McDonnell (R-VA). President Hillary Rodham (D-NY) spent the week swinging through Colorado, New Mexico, and Nevada with former Senator Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV), Senator Mark Udall (D-CO), and Secretary of Health and Human Services Howard Dean (D-VT). Former Governor Sarah Palin (TP-AK) has been touring around the Bible Belt, trying to gain support from Southern Evangelicals. The Vice Presidential nominees have also been out and about:Vice President Barack Obama (D-IL) has made the Sunday morning Talk-show circuit, Governor Brian Sandoval (R-NV) has been hitting the pavement in New Mexico and Arizona,  and Texas Attorney General Ted Cruz (TP-TX) has been spotted at various Texas cook-outs.

Electoral Map, Post-Bus Tours

President Hillard D. Rodham/Vice President Barack H. Obama (D) - 237
Senator Charles J. Scarborough/Governor Brian E. Sandoval (R) - 207
Fmr. Governor Sarah L. Palin/Texas Attorney General Rafael E. Cruz (TP) - 3
