Massive Freedom Food, as long as I can get it with turkey ham and/or turkey bacon.

I don't like sandwhiches, other than the Ultimate Porker from Jimmy Johns.

Yeah I'm not really sure why you need the third piece of bread? Also I feel like just a plain BLT is better than a BLT + turkey.

Buttons?

As for me, I used to eat them fairly often (or something similar), as my mother practically lived upon them and tended to like to lunch at places that specialized in this sort of thing - 'a half-sandwich and cup of soup'.  Come to think of it she knew of an amazing number of those 'Red Hat Lady' style restaurants, and would drive an hour in any direction to visit one.  Rather precious decor but the food was good and she was paying, I wasn't complaining.

She was a sort 'type' - that type who drink enormous amounts of coffee and eat very small amounts of food, half of which was pie, and remain thin and 'high strung' throughout life.

Are you on Atkins or something?  You can just take the bread out and eat the rest. Smiley

Atkins or not, you always want to keep your bread intake low. I do. Break is just like eating sugar after all. It puts and keeps the weight on you!

I ate a quarter of my wife's last night.  We went to Isaac's Deli.  I had a reuben, which was more delicious.  We'd gone there once before and I had a mallard, which was also tasty.  She had a club sandwich on that occasion as well, and on that occasion I ate a quarter of hers as well.

I'll vote neutral.  They're okay.  Big.  Lots of mass.  I generally prefer quality over quantity so I'll stick with reubens, mallards, and po' boys when I'm in that sort of place.  And, of course, the foot long tuna on wheat when I'm in Subway.  Smiley

What's a mallard?  (in 100 words or more, of course.  Tongue )

Apparently Isaac's names all its original sandwiches after birds.  There's the flamingo, the mallard, the egret, etc.  A mallard is one of their "pretzel sandwiches."  The bread is like pretzel dough, but baked soft, not brittle.  It has roast beef, white cheese, horseradish, and a mystery vegetable which I think might be thin-sliced pickled jicama.

Perhaps next time I trek eastward we can eat at Isaac's, only I doubt they have martinis like the place in Ephrata.  Smiley
