Bernanke says he will step down after midterms
November 1, 2010

Treasury Secretary Ben Bernanke is feeling the heat from accusations that he has not paid income taxes since 2006. To Mollify critics on both sides of the party he has said he will step down

Welcome to the 7:30 to 8:00 round of calls for midterm 2010... So far we've seen Rand Paul win by a larger than expected margin in Kentucky, Jason Carter pull off an Upset in Georgia and several incumbents on both sides of the aisle fall so far in the house.

Welcome to the 9:00 hour for election 2010. Voters are showing clear preference for divided government as the GOP has picked up almost two dozen House seats, plus Senate seats in Pennsylvania and Connecticut. Democrats can also call the night so far at least a partial success, picking up Governor's mansions in Connecticut,Florida and New Hampshire, plus adding Senate seats in Ohio, Georgia, Missouri and Oklahoma to their tally.

As we approach the Ten O'clock hour the pattern has become clearer... Republicans are showing strength in the House, while it remains hard to tell who will have the upper hand in both Governor's mansion's and Senate Seats.

It's Eleven O'Clock on the east coast... and we can now project that The Democrats will Retain control of the Senate. in the end picking up the seats in Missouri and Oklahoma proved to be the difference in a poor climate. The House remains up for grabs... but trending Republican

It's 11:30 on the East coast and we can now project that the Republicans will win back the House of Representatives... the Democrats struck several blows to their chances early, but ultimately they just weren't able to hold enough seats in the lower chamber.
