This is like a Thatcher vs Pinochet poll to leftists. You hate Thatcher but Morales is a petty tyrant/Chavez wanna-be troll. So Obama, who is at least likeable.

Not a fan of Morales but he hasn't killed 3,000 people.

Morales isn't exactly in a position to do so (foreigners anyway).  A more apt metric would be whether opponents of the President can credibly claim to be afraid for their lives because of that, which would be much more true in Bolivia than the US (as it is pretty much anywhere in Latin America).

It's a 3,3 freedom house country. Those usually don't go around murdering all their opponents.

So, you are saying that if you are living in Bolivia, and you are a vocal and prominent opponent of Morales, you have less reason to be afraid for your life than one would by being a vocal and prominent opponent of Obama in the US?  This is what you actually believe?

No I didn't say that. You do have more freedom of the press in the US. But admitting that doesn't imply that you would prefer Obama to Morales.

Not necessarily, but it does lend a rather different perspective to things, which was my point.

Obama, but Morales is a good person too.  His policies are too socialist, but he certainly is not one of the several murderous tyrants that Latin American has experienced over the years.

This is quite as easy as Morales vs Romney.
