Second Chelski goal. Hilarious and a must see. Best league in the world my foot...

Certainly the most hilarious league in the world though.

Napoli with a huge away win against top competitors (Fiorentina). The home side's only goal came off of a flimsy penalty call with my boy Rossi converting the kick but we ended up winning 2-1.

Drama in the last minutes as Fiorentina were denied an apparently obvious penalty (with their guy actually being sent off for diving. Both teams ended up with ten men) but that evens out the non-penalty they were granted in the first half.

Still perfect Roma play last place Chievo in Rome tomorrow. It should be noted that we drew with then last place Sassuolo at home so anything is possible. In fact, it's usually against these very lowly sides that the top teams find a way to drop points. Smiley

Roma now off to a league record 10-0-0 start. 24 goals scored and only one conceded.

This Arsenal stuff really needs to stop. Almost as much as the Roma streak.

Is a "goal" like this even legal if it comes from the outside ?
How do we define legal?

On the one hand, there's the FIFA doctrine of the Tatsachenentscheidung (not sure how they call it in English), and really, the situation is not really different from a ball that didn't actually wholly cross the line - or from a wrong offside call that comes after the ball's in. OTOH there is the famous precedent of 1994. We'll find out what the DFB decides this time.

It's official. The result stands, the goal counts. Meanwhile, Fourth Division South with the best own goal ever: at 1:38 (video link, sorry bout the ad)

UEFA supposedly considering making Napoli-Arsenal a closed-stadium match unless Napoli get the flare an smoke bomb "situation" under control. Roll Eyes

Juve leads 1-0 after the first half.

Also, City easily winning against Moscow: 3-0 after the first half.

Oh, Juve. Finding a way to place below Copenhagen. Incredible.

Hope it was demoralizing enough to hurt them going into Sunday's match.  Smiley

Today in the CL:

Atletico Madrid vs. Austria Vienna

My prediction: 5-0 for Atletico, then Madrid stops scoring goals to not embarrass the Viennese ... Tongue

Red Bull Salzburg defeats Standard Lüttich 3-1 in the Europa League.

4 games played, 4 wins.

Plus worldclass goal by Salzburg's Alan (Ibrahimovic style).

Sassuolo tie in the final minute away to league leaders Roma. They have now tied 1-1 away to the top teams in Serie A. Amazing. This makes the Juve-Napoli match even more important.
