And look at where its getting the side in terms of results...

Five minutes ago, I thought to myself, "I know exactly how Al is going to respond to my post. Tongue

Well someone has to be the butt of the triangle jokes. I just can't believe that we're one place below United.

Podolski out until December. He'll miss the one Napoli match this month, of course, but might be back for the final CL Group game.

What a pretty bad week-end it's been...

Qataris have won, at 'home', against the only team in France that has more people in its stadium (which has a quite fancy name 'Stade de Roudourou') than in its city, and of which the name became a kind of expression in France:

En avant Guingamp!

(Bretagne, how come they have so many clubs, something to do with 'Celtism'?)

2-0 (was a close one though, 91' and 93')

And the last hope of the French Republic lost, at home, against the only team which has less people in its stadium (which has a less fancy name 'Stade louis II') than on the field (...it's a saying, but sometimes you would say it's actual)...

...aka the Russian Riviera, aka the Association 'Sportive' de Monaco...

1-2

And a new club has been bought by oil!

Azeris bought one of the French clubs which has the biggest supporter tradition in France, the Racing Club de Lens (Northern France), used to be in L1, now in L2, wouldn't be surprised to see there in L1 next year again then, just like what happened to Monaco.

Oh and Corsica was in Spain? Gosh, it travels...

Quite legitimate if so, but could remain a good old Holy Roman Empire reflex too...

(how do you want we don't get a bloody Napoleonian mentality here...)

That being said, I still offer it to anybody who want some of the last stadiums of Europe within which you can find fights and open racism?

Anybody interested??

I offer you Joey Barton with it!!

(please take him)

And if nobody wants it, well, I offer it to humanity, like Antartica.

Saw someone wearing Marseille ball shorts today. Totally (or not?) random.

I've watched a few Dortmund games this season and it seems like the opposition keeper has had the game of his life in each of them. Very frustrating.

Derby d'Italia ends 1-1. Huge for Napoli if we capitalize in a difficult match later today.

Glad to hear of Dortmund's "struggles" especially right before this Wednesday. Smiley Unfortunately, Arsenal are doing well...

Dortmund up 4-2 now. They will retain their rightful place at the top of the table for another week.

Certainly preferrable to the alternative.

Though they really should stop even circulating "league tables" before the fifth game.

Ordinarily I would agree, but I'm just propagandising against di Canio.

Dortmund's Kehl out for six weeks and word that Lewandowski has spoken to De Laurentiis about coming to Napoli. Talk about bad Napoli-related news for BVB ahead of visiting Naples on Wednesday!

Kehl is their backup DM, so that shouldn't be a huge problem, though it'll hurt for depth reasons.

Also (assuming Liverpool liverpools it up and loses today), Arsenal, Dortmund and Napoli are all at the top of their leagues right now.

And Marseille was (before yesterday) but, as Lewis pointed out, the top of the table rankings as of now shouldn't be taken too seriously even though I've been trumpeting Napoli's place there since the first round. Wink

Our group is still a challenging group but still not like Group H.

Yes, I think wishing to see De Canio sent packing back to Italy qualifies as Italophobia, just as wishing to see him remain at Sunderland qualifies as Maccamophobia.

Napoli-Dortmund love fest continues. Klopp reveals that Napoli called him about coaching and that playing in the San Paolo will be "mystical." Also admits that he hopes we advance out of the group with Dortmund.  Smiley

It's great because I've appreciated Dortmund before this. Seems like a very, very classy organization with passionate fans like ours. It will be great to see the respective choreography before the matches.

Juve conceded an early goal to Copenhagen and are still trailing close to half. Incredible.

David Alaba scored 1 great free-kick goal yesterday and 1 great assist for Robben, who then scored.

Smiley

Here are the highlights of the 3-0 for Bayern Munich against ZSKA Moscow:
