I am opposed to sections 1 and 2 of this.  Section 1 incentivizes prostitution as a means of paying for college.  The intent may be good, but the result would be disastrous.

Section 2 is blatantly unconstitutional, as it is a deprivation of liberty without due process.

This law confuses me: How can you require prostitutes to wear condoms? Are you allowing them to continue to be prostitutes for the time being until they get their GED? This law is definitely confusing.

Don't mean to but into your Mideast affairs, but I was wondering what other regions were attempting to do on the subject of Sex Work and prostitution Wink

Well sections 4 and 5 are just copied from the Federal statute.

No, no, no, no, no. See, this is what is wrong with so much of the prostitution debate -- you're treating it, essentially, like "just another career" -- it's not. The vast majority of people who prostitute themselves do so because they have no other options.

If someone is friggin' that desperate to improve themselves, we should be helping them.

No, it isn't Huh. Many local governments already have similar programs.

I agree Section 2 isn't ideal, but it was the best I thought I could get with federal law being what it is…

You know what, never mind. Consider this bill suspended until I can see if we can change federal law.
