This page has some really cool maps for the geographic distribution for pronunciation of different words and different names to describe the same thing (eg. car-mel vs carra-mel):

Not surprisingly, I must have picked up some of my accent from my dad, since I pronounce "been" as /bɛn/.

That's actually very interesting. I knew some of those differences already, but some of those are quite new to me. Those maps would make some interesting polls here.
