It's a shame because Uruguay did have a few decent chances.

I watched the Italy/Mexico game.

Italy was solid and always seems to be strong in these competitions where it matters.

Tonight Tahiti, the People's Team, will win their first game of many in this tournament.

Tahiti's goalkeeper must be looking forward to that Spain game on Thursday.

Uruguay had 25% of possession yesterday against The Evil Ones. I'd be surprised if Tahiti have 10%. It's going to be brutal.

I'm just seeing the goals from today. Not only was it horrible that Tahiti conceded so very early, it had to be one of the biggest fluke goals I've ever seen: the ball deflected off the referee to set up a twice deflected shot by Nigeria which forced the keeper the wrong way. He still managed to squirm back towards the ball...only to have it bounce off his glove into the net.

The third Nigeria goal was a total "howler" by the Tahiti keeper.

Italy U-21's set to lose Final to Spain U-21's. The Spanish are up 4-2. This will obviously lead to an Italy-Spain Confederations Cup Final.

Japan have been dominating Italy the whole game so far. Italy may have under-estimated them.

Japan can't defend corners apparently.

Italy took a 3-2 lead with an own goal and a penalty in the space of two minutes, and now Japan has leveled again, 3-3! What a great game.

Anyone want to guess the correct end score for Spain vs. Tahiti today ?

I say 13-1.
