Hello and welcome to my new office, while I initially intended to put this in the Regional Elections board I ultimately have decided this will be a much better location as it will get more views by Pacific citizens and office holders. Also, placing my office here gives me much more flexibility allowing people from other regions to observe the going-ons in the Pacific. Thanks for stopping by.

For immediate business I believe we should readopt the Second Constitution which ran the region quite well. Although there was inactivity it prevented mistakes such as the fact that the Pacific Justice must reside in the Mideast. I realistically must probably wait until the Council Recall Election is over however to get any major reforms, amendments, and legislation in general passed.

Congratulations Spamage. But I think we shouldn't have this Council Recall. It was my mistake, I'm sorry about that. There will be only a few days for the new councilliors elected on a recall, so it won't worth a thing.

Under the Second Constitution, which I am inclined to believe is still in effect as noted by former Governor Wolfentoad,

And the entire Constitutional Convention was illegitimate. Amendments are to receive signatures and then be put forth for a vote.

No one ever signed the proposed amendment, the unauthorized convention held an up or down vote. That isn't sufficient.

The third constitution was not properly ratified.
I'm not sure the Constitution was ratified properly (please eh cry quiet about this. No mention to anyone, please)

And he's right, it wasn't. The ConCon was illegitimate. The ratification vote never should ahve been held under the rules of the Second Constitution.

I went back and checked, and it's very clear IMO that Wolfentoad's fears were unfounded.

There's two roads we could take here

Road 1:

Someone's gonna sue
Spamage's election will be declared illegitimate
Will be forced to abdicate the position
The Pacific will descend further into crisis
Reaching a total state of anarchy by July/August
Fed Gov't declares Pacific deadweight
Practically disowns the Pacific
The end

Road 2:

Everyone takes their doubts
Shoves them up their respective asses
Things go along swimmingly
Free cookies and booze for everyone

While the situation involving the Pacific Justice is not ideal, the position has been vacant for far to long. I nominate Oakvale to fill this position as he has not only expressed interest but he has also been an active and important member of the region in the past. Smiley

Unless we are doing things by the way Wolf has written the constitution, Oakvale can't be the Justice, as he's registered in Wisconsin.

We have to do things by the way Wolf wrote the constitution, its the law of the land. Tongue As I stated its far from ideal and will be remedied as soon as possible, but for now the position needs someone to fill it.

I also think we do have a Pacific Justice. IBDD was confirmed justice last session right before Wolfentoad left.

Actually, allow me to explain this situation.

The Constitution was voted, Wolfentoad said it didn't pass but then he retreated his comment saying that it did pass but he would not ratify it because some improvements were needed.

My opinion is that the Third Constitution is valid. Though it wasn't officially ratified, it passed with unanimity.

The Third Constitution states that the Pacific Justice must be a resident of the Mideast region. Therefore IBDD is ineligible.

Also, the ratification decentralization amendment, it's been open since April 5, and it was only supposed to last 7 days. Am I missing something? Shouldn't these be locked by now?

They probably won't. Only the OP is able to lock them and upon leaving the office some posters forget or don't seem to care.

Seeing as I disapprove of the action taken by the transplants to our region, and now question the legality of the "Final Constitution" I will continue to preform my duties as Governor until the Supreme Court gives its ruling. We need a region, we need activity, we need fairness. A place without a government focusing on its regional needs is hardly fair in any sense and honestly is unacceptable. Complain all you want, but I'm here to stay.
