Sounds about right. I'm not a huge Cuomo supporter, but I do approve of the take-no-prisoners approach that he's taken toward the State Senate. If only we could go unicameral.

Letting the State Senate draw an insanely gerrymandered map for themselves is "take-no prisoners"?

Well yeah, in the "ensure everybody who belongs in prison has parliamentary immunity" sense.

He was Attorney general at the time at least some of this was going on... GOP opponents will say he should've gone after these people.

All I'll say is that Cuomo's handling of the State Senate has been far less gentle than that of his recent predecessors.

Fair. Though things have only come to a head in the last few years, as the Democrats have started having a chance to take over the chamber. That's made corruption a lot worse. Senators  are now constantly taking bribes to support X or Y policy from the opposite party, whereas before the Republicans had a big enough majority that they just controlled the process, and no individual Senator was so important. Things will get better once the Democrats have a similarly dominating majority, but that will probably take a decade or so.
