It just seems like his parents don't communicate much at all. I envision it as sort of a loveless marriage where they remain together because their religion doesn't allow divorce and "for the kids." Bushie's mom knows some form of his future story and his dad knows another, neither knows the same thing.

Either that, or Bushie's dad is sick of his son and just goes to work to avoid Bushie and his mom, who are always at the house having brief relaxations and watching TV/cooking red meat and carbs, and doesn't really care what he ends up doing as long he just leaves him alone.

I had a really good pool party.  Grilled pork chops, grilled hot dogs, and primarily grape kool aid.  I swam a whole, played volleyball for 30 minutes.  Got some decent exercise.

Grilled pork chops, grilled hot dogs, and primarily grape kool aid.

The three food groups.

I was so caught up in the image of Bushie bumping and spiking that I completely overlooked the food. Pork chops AND hot dogs plural?!?!? Plus grape kool aid that isn't exactly calorie free.

lol.

If Bushie is going to be working for a railroad, I'd prefer it be one that doesn't go through my hometown. Cause a train wreck in somebody else's backyard, please.
You are being too hard on Bushie, I bet most railroad workers show up to work intoxicated because of how the way their lives are destroyed by the job. Look up the etymology of the term "railroaded".

Trains have enormous inertia carry nasty chemicals all the time. I don't want all that in Bushie's hands. I suspect today's railroads are well run as accidents are fairly rare. The old line near my house has now been abandoned and converted into a biking/walking trail, so at least I don't have to be in the Bushie's immediate disaster zone. The BNSF is in a nasty industrial part of town that is pretty far from me, but that's still an important part of our local economy.

Are you still on your diet?

Another question that I've been wondering for a while: Do you have any siblings? If so, how are they doing?

I've done some Google Searches and Fort Worth is just oozing with CAD jobs.  They are everywhere, and even more numerous in Dallas.  In July, after I get back from Africa, I am going to sit down with the counselor at the vo-tech and ask what they offer for career placement and what I should look for.  Then, my parents and I have already agreed that since I will have 2 weeks off for Fall Break in October, 2 weeks off for Christmas in December, and 2 weeks off for Spring Break in March, I will take a drive down to Fort Worth during each break, maybe get a hotel room, and scope things out such as places for employment, temp agencies, churches, banks, grocery stores, apartments, etc.  I could and will look all of them up online and even where they're at in Fort Worth, but I also want to get used to the Fort Worth traffic as well as get used to being in a bigger city than Oklahoma City.

Ah, Bushie has figured out yet another scam to get to his beloved hotel porno. Sly dog!

Bushies one brother is a 20+ year Navy man with a family. I can't fathom how they're related.

The BNSF Railroad is just one of many, many, many options.  Like I said, the Dallas/Ft Worth Metroplex is oozing with CAD jobs, especially CAD-Mechanical which is my focus.

I really dislike when Bushie breaks the fourth wall like this and baits his audience.  The U mad bro from the other day gave me a horrific case of the douche chills that I still haven't gotten rid of.

I have decided that I want to be in Fort Worth by Saturday, June 7, 2014 which is 8 days after I get my certificate.  Any time between Saturday, May 31 and Saturday, June 7, 2014.  So, to attempt to accomplish that feat, I am going to start looking and applying for jobs in Fort Worth on Monday, April 14, 2014.  Between now and then, I will make a trip down there every 7 weeks to scope things out.  I'll go down early on a Saturday morning about 0500, spend all day down there, and come back late Saturday evening about 2100.  I will get a hotel for a night in October and in March during my fall and spring breaks.  My first trip down there will be July 13.  After that, I'll go August 31, October 18-20, December 7, January 25, March 14-16, May 3.  Plus, if and when I have interviews down there, I will go down there.  That will be 6 trips before I start applying.  The trips in August and October will be primarily to spot the locations of apartment.  The trips will be for the purpose of getting used to Fort Worth traffic, finding and driving to different businesses from different apartments that I find in the previous trips such as grocery stores, shopping centers, restaurants, banks, post offices, churches, as well as exploring the city streets and highways.  I'll be doing quite a bit of driving, and I'll be using quite a bit of gas, but its an effort to hit the ground running and already know where stuff is at when I move down there next June.

The overnight stays in October and March will be to do more in depth exploring.  The trip in March will be to actually talk to some apartment managers and try to take a tour and get some ideas.  Also both in October and March, I want to go to church down there on the Sunday morning that I come home and get an idea of what church I may want to get involved in and get plugged into.

They won't be aimless trips like the one I had to Alva last week.

Again, you're just pissing money away. You don't need to visit 15 times before you move there. No one does that. Staying the night for interviews is fine, but just to drive around looking at grocery stores is crazy. It's a big city, but you're an adult. You are more than capable.

That's really not a good excuse when you're blowing someone else's money. If you could afford to do it on your own, you could go sit in hotel rooms and drive by every grocery store in the Fort Worth area for all I care. That said, if you and your parents don't care that you keep pissing away money you all clearly don't have, I shouldn't either.

I may cut out either the December or the January trip, but I'm not sure, yet.  Or, I might go once a quarter, July, October, January, and April with no motel room on any of the trips.

Let me throw this idea at the forum (mind you, I'm still leaning toward the current plan), but here's an idea.

Go ahead and move down there later this summer, let's say August, get a job even if its at a call center, then either in January or next August start my certificate when I can pay for it all myself.

Again, it's just a thought, and I'm not leaning in this direction, but just seeking an honest opinion.

I don't object to you going ahead and getting your certificate as soon as you can, even if it means taking out a loan or whatever since it isn't but $2500 or so. I just object to you needlessly throwing away money on hotel visits to see what grocery stores and churches are in the area. Those things worth the cost. You can figure that out when you get a job and move there. All hotel visits should be for is the interview process. Worry about the other things later. After all, there is no guarantee you will get a job there. It isn't a foregone conclusion. You may end up living somewhere else.

On further consideration, 'on' in that sentence really should have been in scare quotes, as should 'diet'.
