Tonight, I am going to do something radically different for me.  I am going to read something other than the Bible.

Y'know, this explains a lot.

I just don't like to read.  Millions of Americans don't like to read.  Nothing wrong with that, really.

Do you ever put your sermons online? I'd love to hear one. Your brand of Christianity is fascinating compared to the Greeks.

Well, maybe not 'wrong', but its hardly likely to earn you the respect and regard of your fellows here, Bushie.  And as such - as much as I love to read - kudos to you for admitting such an execrable characteristic so openly.

I don't preach very often, as I am not the pastor of the congregation.  My Sunday sermon on June 2 will likely be online shortly after that.  If you want to listen to Pastor Nick's messages - www.wbcchoctaw.org > Sermon Archives.  Right now, it is updated through April 21, so 2 Sundays behind.  My sermon on June 2, should be online by the end of the month.  My Wednesday messages won't be online.

No, it only goes back about a year due to space, and I haven't preached on a Sunday morning in over a year.  Our Music Minister, Don, has preached a couple times and his messages are on there.

The headache that was trying to develop earlier today has left the room.  It briefly got up to about a 4.0, but now is down to a 1.5.

What's even more amazing is that you let just anyone preach! You don't have to be ordained or anything? Or have any education?

Tonight, I am going to do something radically different for me.  I am going to read something other than the Bible.  I am going to start reading Total Church by Steve Timmis.  The book is about church planting, which is something I want to do in Kenya.  Of course, I will read the Bible, too and prepare my first Wednesday Evening Sermon in my Luke series that will be starting Wednesday, May 22, 2013.  My Bible readings tonight will be 2 Samuel 13-14 and John 3.  Early in the week, I need to start preparing my Sunday Morning Sermon for Sunday, June 2, 2013.  The book was recommended to me by my Missionary Friends to China and just happened to be in my church library.

You mean you've never read any other actual books besides the Bible?

I get headaches nearly every day whether I eat or not.  So, I'm pretty sure eating has nothing to do with it

This is something you would have also known yesterday, ergo your attempt to blame it on not eating was completely BS and you knew it.

(and don't even try to say "awww but babby bushie had a headache" because you also typed this while experiencing a headache of similar strength and it seems pretty lucid)

This is what I told him. He tried to explain his eating as curing his headache but at the same time conveniently dismissed the possibility that the pill actually cured it.

His headaches are due to his high blood pressure or not being adequately hydrated, which happens when you eat a ton of sodium like Bushie tends to do in his current diet.

In the Southern Baptist Convention, you have to be licensed in order to preach or perform weddings.  You don't have to have any seminary education, although that never hurts, you have to have a confirmed calling to preach the Gospel and have to be licensed by the local body.  Each church in the Southern Baptist Convention is autonomous, which means each church elects their own leaders.  Since we're a small church, the only person ordained is our deacon.  Our Lead Pastor, Music Minister, and myself are all licensed which is one step away from Ordination.  Outside our local church, a license allows me to conduct weddings inside the State of Oklahoma.  I have to be ordained to conduct weddings outside the State of Oklahoma.  We register our licenses with the County Clerk and the County Courthouse.  Our deacon's ordination is on a different level than if my pastor would be ordained.  The deacon's ordination is contingent upon the local body.  If he were to change churches, he would have to be re-ordained in order to serve as deacon.  My Pastor, if he were ordained, could go to any other Southern Baptist Church in the nation and hold the same ordination.  In a bigger church, in order to be licensed or ordained, one has to 1) be called to preach, 2) be heard by the Pastor Search Committee, Deacons, and other ordained officers, 3) be recommended by the same groups to the congregation, 4) Preach before the congregation, and 5) be voted in by the congregation in a special business meeting in an up or down vote.

I am considering a major change of plans, but I'm not going to keep you in suspense.
Basically, I'm praying about a return to Alva, Oklahoma and the campus of Northwestern Oklahoma State University!  I'm thinking about upgrading my Computer Science Minor into a Computer Science Major.  I may be making another trip up to Alva pretty quick to talk to the Department Chair of the Comp Sci/Math Department and get his thoughts.  I'm thinking about this in lieu of my vo-tech program down here.  I'm not financially invested in the CAD program down here, yet, so I have the freedom to move and I can just divert my FAFSA to NWOSU.  I am also looking at the Northwestern Technology Center.

You just need to decide what you want to do with your life before you spend more money or go into more debt. You clearly aren't sure CAD is what you want to do, as I expected. You just want something to do that doesn't involve having a job.

Negative Ghost Rider, the Computer Science major includes CAD and would likely be better than just a CAD certificate.  I haven't fully decided, yet.
