Federalist Convention—LITTLE ROCK, AR (Voting on convention locations)

Welcome, Federalists, to another exciting convention. Very happy to be in Little Rock!

First, I’d like to thank everyone for the hard work they’ve done since we last met. Other parties have come and gone, but we’ve remained pretty darn strong. We owe that to each other. I’d also like to congratulate our members who were able to win (or look poised to win ) election to the vacant seats on the senate. A few months ago, no one would’ve thought we could win seats head-on against the leftist parties. We’re doing it. Pat yourselves on the back.

This month, our main focus will be on the senate election, the race for the emperorship over in the IDS, and various regional assembly elections. Hopefully our members can have strong showings across the board—and where we don’t have candidates running, I hope we’ll be able to endorse pragmatic candidates who share our values.

Once most of the elections are out of the way, I do want to talk seriously about our by-laws (I’ve realized that some things aren’t ideal from an administrative standpoint), as well as our future direction in terms of policy and ideology.

But first, we have elections to win! Let's go get 'em!

Hoping that I'm one of those pragmatic candidates who share our values (and assuming the blue highlight means it's happening right now), I'd like to formally request the endorsement of the Federalist Party in the IDS Emperor election.

Sorry Mr. X, but we only endorse non-Federalists when we don't have enough members from out own party running to fill our endorsement slots. The thought is that we don't really want to devalue our endorsements by giving out too many.

This is one of the things I'd like to discuss later during the convention though: Instituting a system for "secondary" endorsements.
