I voted Rockefeller by mistake.  Knowing that Smith is an incumbent, though, I would have voted for her.  But like I said earlier, Smith/Rockefeller is my pick.

Johnson/Kennedy

We need Kennedy shouting from the White House for space, but in all other regards Johnson is superior.

Solution: Elect President Gingrich in 2012.

We should all agree now that we will make this happen.

No! President Herman Cain!

So who are the Democrats going to run in '76 after Smith fights the 'Nam and we unanimously elect (and reelect) George McGovern Emperor?

No matter what happens, we're going to have Vietnam, whether it's Smith or LBJ.

Pretty much this, so lets elect the guy that will give us the Civil Rights Act, Voting Rights Act, Medicare and Medicaid.

LBJ would take it way further though, plus having a female President is really cool. Especially during the Cold War era.

A: How do you know LBJ would "take it way further"? Smith's policies are said to be even more hawkish than Eisenhower's.

B: We've already had a female President. And a black one. And a Catholic one.

What does already having one matter? I know that. That doesn't mean we can't have another.

Ugh. If we go by convention runner-ups, both VP choices will be terrible. Can we have LBJ/JFK please?

So, SO glad Chase won renomination!

Also, seeing George Wallace gain more votes than JFK is more than amusing.
