This election shall be conducted in strict accordance with the
Southeastern Election Regulations. You must be a validly registered voter of the Southeastern Region during the entire time this ballot is open in order for your vote to be valid. Editing a ballot disqualifies it. All discussion of the election
must be conducted in a seperate thread.
There is a Gubernatorial election being held for a term of office ending April 17, 2005. The Southeast Region uses approval voting for Gubernatorial elections. List all persons who you would approve of as Governor, with the order not mattering. In the event that multiple candidates should be tied for the most approvals, a runoff will be held on Tuesday, February 22. The following person has requested that his name be placed upon this ballot, but you may write in the name of any Southeast resident in addition to or instead of these candidates:

There is Magisterial nomination up for a vote on this ballot. You may only vote yes, no, or abstain on this nomination. Write-ins are not accepted and shall in the absence of any language indicating an opinion on whether the nominee, Cosmo Kramer of Arkansas, should be Magistrate, be treated as an abstain.

Initiative #20Southeastern Alcohol InitiativeThis initiative establishes a standard excise tax on alcoholic beverages throughout the Southeast Region. It also provides for programs to curb the abuse of alcohol. In addition, it mandates that those states that currently have publicly owned liquor stores divest themselves of their interests in the sale of alcohol.
Initiative #21Southeastern Tobacco InitiativeThis initiative establishes a standard excise tax on tobacco throughout the Southeast Region. It also provides for programs to curb the abuse of tobacco.
Initiative #22Southeastern Hemp and Canabis InitiativeThis initiative establishes a standard excise tax on canabis throughout the Southeast Region. It also provides for programs to curb the abuse of canabis. In addition, it explictly states that the legal status of canabis in the Southeast Region is unaffected by this initiative.
Initiative #23Southeast Nuclear Energy InitiativeThis initiative provides conditions that make the construction of plants for the safe production of electricity from the energy released by nuclear fission an economically viable choice.
It does so by encouraging the use of proven standard designs, via tax breaks and the assumption of liability by te Region, and via subsides funded by the
Clean Energy Act passed by the Atlasian Senate.
Initiative #24Southeast Biomass InitiativeThis initiative requires coal-fired electrical plants to be capable of using biomass, provides tax breaks for doing so, and uses subsides funded by the
Clean Energy Act passed by the Atlasian Senate to offset the costs associated with providing for co-firing.
Initiative #25Southeast Solar InitiativeThis initiative promotes increased usage of solar power via the use of economic incentives and the reduction of regulatory restrictions.
Initiative #26Southeast Environmental Protection and Intermodal Transportation InitiativeThis initiative delineates how the Southeast Region shall use funds given to the Regions via the
Environmental Protection and Intermodal Transportation Act by the Atlasian Senate and any funds appropriated in the future for similar purposes.
Initiative #27The Death Penalty and Rehabilitation InitiativeThis initiative calls for the abolition of the death penalty and establishes guidelines for the rehabilitation of prisoners.
