I'm really from the Midwest though. Why would anyone be uncomfortable with this? The last Democratic president to not be from the south was JFK.

A more interesting question would be, would you be more likely to vote for a President from your state?

I live in the northeast.  Not only would I be comfortable with a president from a different region, but I would almost always support somebody from a different region over a northeasterner.
