Too many options for me to try to craft a narrative. Choose whom you wish. My vote is for either Ford/Hughes, or for Ford/Lodge if the first is somehow impractical.

Best I can tell, the primaries took place in these states:
Illinois
Michigan
Montana
Nebraska
New Jersey
North Carolina
North Dakota
Ohio
Oregon
Pennsylvania
Vermont

Teddy/Hiram Johnson. We need a strong leader with crisis brewing across the sea.

I'll stick with La Follette. Sherman for VP, but I have no problem with Cummings or Ford or maybe Knox.

La Follette/Cummins.

We already had Presidents with more than two terms, so it's alright.

Teddy/Ford

In a time of war we need a world-famous diplomat. At the same time, a man with a head for business will calm markets about the ticket.

I'd say Teddy/Huges, but they're from the same state and so can't be on the same ticket.

La Follette is the only candidate that will keep us out of the Great War in Europe!

This is 1916. What's a Nazi? And Ford's book hasn't been published yet and won't be for the next few years.

Also, if we do it right, we could have five terms of La Follette!

As a Frenchman, I cannot support LaFollette this time around because I wan't to make sure we kick the ass of those damn Germans. Tongue So I'll go for Teddy for once.

Also it should be known that Roosevelt would be dead by the end of his term.

I vote for Senator "Watertight" Smith of Michigan. His investigation of the HMS Titanic disaster placed the blame on Mr. Ismay and began the push for needed maritime reform.
