I am going to go ahead and get the pick 'em set up for Super Bowl Sunday.  I will post the results leading into the week at the conclusion of the Pro Bowl.

Feel free to change your picks if you desire.  You have until 6:15 pm EST on Super Bowl Evening to change your picks.

* NOTE - This game is worth 7 points for the correct pick.  If you pick the winning score within a field goal either direction that is worth another 3 points for a possible 10 points.  If the winning score is within a touchdown either direction, that is worth an extra 1 point for a possible 8 point win.

I support the Ravens. I think the 49ers will win.  Ravens defense is still stout, but it's slow group.  49ers offense is pure speed.  All three teams the Ravens faced in the AFC played a very possession style of football.  49ers can run.

35 San Francisco

34 Baltimore

The miracle point! Smiley I know it might not be realistic, but it would be interesting, but you guys could flip the pointage if you like.

In the Super Bowl Battle of the Harbaughs, this is my prediction:
49ers- 34
Ravens- 10

I have a feeling this will be like a lot of the Super Bowls of the 90s--over early, with San Francisco winning, but with Baltimore still putting up a fight.
FTR, I support the 49ers, although I wouldn't mind that badly if Ray Lewis finished his career with a second Super Bowl victory.

20-10 Baltimore winning

I hate the Ratbirds, but I don't want another team with 6 Super Bowl rings.

So. If I want to beat you (and I really, really do) I have to pick against my home team?

So be it. On the bright side the game is now win-win for me. Either my team wins the Super Bowl. Or I win this 5 month long competition.

24-17 49ers. I don't understand why people think the Ravens are the favorite.

Ya know, I've been thinking and as much as I don't want the 49ers to get their 6th ring, I think I hate Ray Lewis more and really REALLY don't wan't to see the media suck the murderer off anymore than they already are.  It's disgusting.

So I wan't to change my pick, but before I do, I wanted to make sure it was cool with you (and Bushie) first.

Bushie said in the OP we can change up until 6:15 pm next Sunday. So if you want to flip to SF that's fine by me. I'll change my pick accordingly.

Thank you sir.

Let's say.....SF 17-Bal 13

You Fool. You total and complete fool.

You had it. Victory. It was yours. All you had to do was stick with the Baltimore Ravens and you would have won. When I saw your first post declaring that the Ravens would win 20-10 I was crestfallen, for I knew that victory had slipped from my grasp. Before the Denver game you declared that Baltimore was the weakest team left standing. So when Tom Brady threw that last interception into the end zone, I thought to myself: "The dead0man will take San Francisco, I will take Baltimore and I will win."

And while the path to this destination was a bit more winding then I had first thought it would be, the fact remains we have arrived exactly where I always knew we would:

I am backing Baltimore, and you are backing the Gay Mecca.

The Baltimore Ravens will win Super Bowl 47. They will win because they are by far the superior team. Their offense is better. Their defense is better. And their special teams unit is a lot better.

So on Sunday night February 3rd 2013 at about 10:30 Eastern Time, as you watch JOHN Harbaugh accept the Vince Lombardi trophy, I want you to remember that victory could have been yours. But you tossed it away into my waiting arms. And for that I thank you sir. And I wish you the best of luck next year, when you try (and fail) to take my Championship title away from me. Then again, if the history of Super Bowl losers is to be believed, next year you'll be lucky to finish ahead of Tmth.

Baltimore 31
San Francisco 17

Now hit my music.

(Since we're both fans of pro-wrestling I thought it would be fun to cut a promo on you. And it was. Smiley )
