So in Maine over 30s were more liberal than the those in their teens and 20s? Seems weird for such a liberal state that Kerry won comfortably.

Did Bush carry a majority or a plurality of those voters?

I could see how if a lot of them voted for Nader, Bush would end up winning them with less than 50%.

Bush got 50%, Kerry 48% and Nader 1% and that is from CNN.

Maine was somewhat close and isn't all that liberal. It's in the leans Democratic column and purplish blue. It's also small enough of a state in population that something weird like Bush winning the youth vote could happen based on an off turnout.
