But what responsibilities would he have exactly in that case? Would he be basically the originator and moderator of the budget discussion?

The following amendment is brought to a vote.  Members will vote AYE, NAY, or ABSTAIN.  This will be a 24-hour vote.

Reinserting the tie-breaker piece and having joint Senate and Judicial appointments both seem like potential additional responsibilities.

In defense of the tie-breaker proposal, it would likely force people to vote on AYE/NAY on a bill (I know you much prefer that, Inks) rather than ABSTAIN.

However, it makes more sense in an even-numbered Assembly, but I'm fine with reinstating it into the bill if that's okay with everyone.

Absolutely not.  That's a deal-breaker for me on the bill.

Why? There are rarely any ties because we have an odd-number.

I could agree with this, even though I don't see why Assembly appointments can't be added as well considering the LG has very little power in the Assembly.

Because the LG should not have power over legislative actions.  He is not elected in the same timeframe as Assemblymen, so an Assemblyman could purposefully not vote to allow the LG to cast a more controversial vote, since he won't be up for reelection as soon.  Plus, I don't see a need for it.

Voting is now closed.  The AYEs are 3, and the NAYs are 0, with 2 not voting.  The AYEs have it, and the amendment is agreed to.
