If he had a better caucus, he'd be doing a better job as speaker. I really do feel really, really bad for him, (though I do like Pelosi a LOT more) and I think his problem is that he's not a very good match for his caucus. Meaning, his caucus is even more insane than he is.

I want him to realize how stressful this is, retire, and have a nice, long, happy life outside of government. Maybe have a personal friendship with Obama. He just isn't cut out for this sort of thing.

Terrible Speaker (sadly, very similar to politicians in my country). When you compare with Pelosi, remember that at least she could count (and get) votes to pass non DOA legislation.

At least Gingrich could get stuff through. Just get to stuff through is a chore now.

As a leader he is horrible at his job. He cannot get anything done and likes to pass the blame. He's the Pierce/Buchanan of house speakers if that comparison works out. He did gain a little bit of respect from me for ignoring whiny brat Cantor and passing the deal today.

As a person, he seems in the middle. I have no strong impression of the guy, he's neither indefinable as a HP or a FF.

Terrible Speaker and completely hopeless leading his caucus - so a HP politically, which is all this poll is really about. Wink

FF.  He's better than having a Southern Republican as House Speaker, and infinitely better than Nancy Pelosi.  I've never heard Boehner say "we've gotta pass the bill to find out what's in it."

Oh that's just because he's never been able to pass a bill as Speaker, thus the situation did not present itself.
