How will you feel about the separation of powers when elected ? Will you continue exercising your job as an attorney or will you suspend it while you serve ?

I strongly support the separation of powers and believe it is vital to any democracy.

I will keep my private law practice open if I am elected.

Welcome to the race, Mr. King. You believe in the separation of powers (in your particular way), so you are endorsed... for the second preference (sometimes I forget that I'm also running Tongue)

Indeed, I won't disappear. If you've notice I've been consistently active since my Senate expulsion so that was more a hiccup than anything. Smiley

I hope so! Cheesy

Thanks for your support Smiley

what is your opinion of Operation Cottonfield?

I oppose the principle of moving voters strategically but I appreciate that our region has genuinely competitive elections for once.

I'm a bit proud of the volume of cases I've argued over the years. Proud of some of the rulings, too Grin

And I'd also add that none of my lawsuits were anything I personally considered frivolous (except maybe the Yelnoc one, I'll admit that was totally trolling) because either the claims were entirely legitimate by legal logic, they proved a point about Judicial law (which often led to "clarification" by initiative or legislative action), or they were for trolling DWTL. All three of which I believe are valid reasons for making lawsuits.

I would suggest that leading lawsuits against the Southeast is an altogether different action than leading lawsuits against the Imperial Dominion of the South.

Some folks dislike the Imperial windowdressing, but I would point out that at least there is no "east" in that title. I always thought Southeast was a hideous name that only served to disconnect us from our proud and storied past. It's no mistake that those of us in the regional RPP preferred to call the region the Dirty South as opposed to that pedestrian Southeast name.

The Dirty South is the name that represents the south more so than any other. Long live it's glorious name!

As for you, BK, you have The People's endorsement but you can't disappear. It would go against the moral fiber of The Party!

I just meant "Southeast" as a generic name covering all periods of the region's history. I do like a name with character though, of course. On that note though I'd prefer something reminiscent of Southern charm than the Imperial stuff, but I'm fine either way. I wouldn't bring back the "Dirty South" but maybe something classier Tongue

May I recommend shutting signatures off then. Of course, I would probably choose ignore myself in your position, because I like having them even with my slow connection.

Yeah, I love seeing sigs, but then I see that and have to scroll quickly to avoid it, so I chose ignore, but not due to the content of Jbrase's posts, which are fine.
