Yeah, I'm kind of confused why New York keeps electing Republican governors.

Even Manchin wouldn't have stabbed NY State Senate Democrats in the back the way Cuomo did.

Lhota's getting desperate. "Vote for me, or the violent blacks will get you!"

one of the last images doesn't even depict any violence.

just an old white lady waiting to be pounced on by an eerie black man in the background, serenaded by graffiti

yeah that's one of the worst quotes I've heard from a blue-state Democrat this decade.

Maybe Cuomo should join Rick Perry in his blue state bashing brigade. I'm sure that will help him in the primary.

Asshole.

I'd primary him the first chance I got. He's a DINO in every sense of the word and is one of the two 2016 candidates that'd make me jump to Christie.

Out of curiosity, who's the other one?

FWIW Cuomo vs. Christie is the only 2016 matchup I can think of where I would not automatically vote D, though I'd probably go Green in that case.  Cuomo is awful.

Klobuchar. She's up for sale to the highest bidder as far as I'm concerned. If the ticket has both of them in it, I definitely go for Christie.

Lhota didn't have permission to use the images, which may have something to do with it:

http://www.quinnipiac.edu/institutes-and-centers/polling-institute/new-york-city/release-detail?ReleaseID=1967
Quinnipiac has De Blasio up 68-24 with Carrion getting 2%

Interestingly Lhota has gained three points on De Blasio since Quinnipiac's last survey at the beginning of the month, when De Blasio lead 71-21

Wow, Lhota's gaining momentum.

If he had an extra year to campaign, it might even be close.

I wish Lhota had a shot, but it looks like De Blasio would win even if he had a sext affair with Anthony Weiner.

If he'd been willing to run for Public Advocate to start his rehabilitation, he probably would've won easily.

Of course with the huge poll leads he had for Comptroller and as close a loss it turned out to be, he can't be faulted for taking that leap.

Without commenting on his sleaziness of course......

De Blasio lead is now falling, almost approaching Christie-levels:

65-26-3 (-3,+2,+1)

Sooooooo...

Yesterday, my GF received a hand-addressed letter in the mail with no return address.

Inside, there was what looked like an inkjet-printed flyer (on just regular old printer paper), advocating for the re-election of "Democrat Charles Hynes".

Yup.

Also, after some happy talk in the primaries, de Blasio is returning to form.  And that form is looking like very much like a severe disappointment on some of the issues I care most about:

I'm seriously considering a protest vote for Carrion here.  It's not like Lhota has any chance, so I do have that luxury.
