OOC: I think Dennis would prefer creating a 1% Tobim Tax than this huge corporate tax increase.

I guess we'll need the President's full approach for this to start again... I have my Gingrich schedule somewhere, but I wanted to wait for the President's first detailed move.

JulioMadrid himself has not logged on for almost a month. He might be who we need to wait for more than anyone.

Hi, guys.

I am sorry, this is NOT an update.

I've been very busy... And at least until January things won't get any better... I am very involved on my town's politics and sooner than later I'll be leading the Youth section of the PSOE here, so when I'm not studying at the University, I am "campaigning" and doing things for the party... And my mother has a brain damage, so I've been with her on the Hospital many times, too. She's way better now, before you ask.

Does anyone want to moderate this? I think there are many good options... Maybe NHI, Maxwell, Jerry...?

Rick Perry Schedule: January 20-31

-Gubernatorial duties
-Fundraisers for Republican National Committee
-Consulting with advisors on possible reelection campaign

"It would be unprecedented in this state, but I'm leaning towards seeking another term. I've racked up a strong record and I think I can ward off any strong challengers in the primary. We need to begin hiring some new folks soon if we'll be going through with this."

Newt Gingrich Schedule: A new political struggle:

From Inauguration to the beginning of February.

-Start the first draft of "The Conservative Dream", a book detailing Gingrich's failed run in 2008 (with an epilogue set in Election Day).
-Assemble a small team of five young staffers to run a political operation in Washington D.C.
-Hold meetings with Eric Cantor and House Republicans, trying to rally the troops for the upcoming legislative struggle:

"Look, I don't have a bad opinion of President Bloomberg. But truth of the matter is that we need a new approach to this if we want to do well in 2010. Eric is more than ready to lead all of you to victory in Congress, but here's my advice: keep a low profile for a month or two, and then send Bloomberg straight to the arms of the Democrats. I have my reasons to believe that he will be very vulnerable as President, and by giving him full support we give the impression that we are already conceding the Midterms and 2012. He chose to get out of the party after all..."

-Consult new staffers and old friends on the possibility of returning to the House or going for Senate in 2010.

I would like to join in this... but could people run for governor in this instead of President, I would like to play as a certain person, then run for President in 2016... Maybe even as VP in 2012? IDK, if not, I have a backup plan.

Sorry I took so long, I had some, technical difficulties. Tongue

Paul Ryan Schedule
Off Year Week: January 19-25:

Jan. 19:
Meeting with Wisconsin Legislature to discuss future bills for Congress; legislative duties

Jan 20: Discuss with advisers on future bills; legislative duties

Jan 21: Attend the Presidential Inauguration and watch the Presidential Parade on TV in Office after attending the Presidential Luncheon; legislative duties

Jan 22: Prepare weekly internal approve/disapprove ratings throughout the Wisconsin 1st; legislative duties

Jan 23: Legislative duties; then go home

Jan 24: Private duties

Jan 25: Mass/Church; private duties

also, mind if I have some as he was campaigning for Veep IRL? Its a little hard to find the "Goldilocks Pictures" for Paul Ryan. Also, Tiver, I hope you'll find some different candidates, I felt that this one would be a little more "electable" than a certain State House Speaker for Governor.

Since you're now moderating, can I have John Edwards and Barack Obama?

Obama: "President Bloomberg literally just got inaugurated a week ago. My mind is on doing my current job in the Senate on behalf of the citizens of Illinois. I can confirm that I will be running for reelection next year though."
Joe: "C'mon man, you are the front runner. It's not a matter of if you're running, but when you're gonna announce."
Obama: "Whether or not I decide to run depends on what my family thinks. I don't know if Michelle and the girls would want to go back into the spotlight of a national campaign."
