OOC: when NHI releases his "who won the debate" poll, you'll have IN and NC, then WV and then KY and OR. May 12th-25th can start now, so post your schedules Wink

It almost mirrors the national polls. Our supporters must've voted for us. Anyway, good he Indiana. At least I'll get a load of delegates.

May 12th- May 25th starts now (well, it started some posts ago)

McCain and democrats losing support to Bloomberg, republicans nervous, will McCain be able to keep his lead once democrats have a candidate?
Obama and Dean tied in Indiana, Dean and Lincoln tied in NC, Dean takes WV. Oprah and Lincoln decline in polls.
Brokered Convention? Not so fast, unpledged delegates divided between Obama, Dean, want a new debate to know who's the best candidate.
Who'll finish in 2nd place? Winfrey or Obama? Oprah has lost momentum, but is it too late for Barack?
Morgan Freeman and Samuel Jackson endorse Obama; Walter Mondale and Jerry Brown endorse Dean.
Treasurer Tim Cahill (D-MA), Auditors of Accounts Randy Brock (R-VT) and Thomas Salmon (D-VT) and model Cindy Crawford endorse Michael Bloomberg.

"Senator Lincoln may not have broken the Glass Ceiling, but because of her supporters there are now millions of cracks in it. With her endorsement, I pick up the badge of courage and humility that drove her campaign. We've got a race. And we cannot allow the Establishment Past of the Democratic Party win. We need a progressive who'll work across the aisle to Change Washington. One who will support the plight of the working class. Who will establish the right of every man, woman, and child to affordable Health Insurance. Who'll help the millions of immigrants waiting to get into this country come in and make it better. Who will balance the budget so we don't leave trillions of dollars of debt to our children. I hope, that I can be that candidate."- Senator Obama

OOC: Congratulations, Jerry! Even if you couldn't win the race at the end, you went from 5% in the October polls to 10 states and more than 600 delegates in May: a very impressive result. It looks like Oprah holds now the key to the nomination...

So, let's suppose Lincoln dropped out the 18th of May (her last activity was the 17th). That means everything changes in Kentucky. Don't expect every delegate to go for Obama, but certainly a huge majority.
Dean, Oprah and Obama, unpledged delegates want a debate among you to decide whom to support. Do you accept?

Results from KY and OR tonight tomorrow morning. Expect some bump for Obama (not too much, people expected this).

"Oregon, we got a boost of support from Senator Lincoln, but we need you to finish the job. With your support, we can win this race. We can show Governor Dean, Senator McCain, and George Bush that nothing is more powerful than millions of voices, calling for Change."- Obama at Mega Rally

"My campaign may be over, but the cause is not. Oregon, send a message to the Status Quo that Change will happen. Lets send Barack Obama where he belongs: The White House"- Sen. Lincoln

"Oregon, I'm gonna tell you something as a Republican. No one, not Dean, not McCain, not Bloomberg. None of them, have what it takes to bring real and comprehensive Change to Washington DC. That's why I reached across the aisle and gave him my support, and I suggest you do the same."- Chuck Hagel

"Now this good looking mother-f&$ker right here is the real deal. Vote for him, he knows what he's talking about. Oprah is one of my closest friends, but even she knows deep down. This is the man to Change what's going on in Washington. Cause he ain't the only one with super powers. Robert Downey better move over, this is the real Iron Man."- Samuel L. Jackson

Michael Bloomberg Press Conference
(May 12th-25th has already been posted)

Reporter #1: Mayor, Candidate Ralph Nader commented earlier his hopes for a debate with all candidates, and mentioned your name. Would you be willing to debate Mr. Nader?
Bloomberg: You know, I would certainly be open to having a debate with all the candidates remaining in the race, including Mr. Nader, Senator McCain, and the Democrats. I'm excited for the opportunity to debate my opponents and present my case to the American people on why I believe I'd make the best choice for President.

Reporter #2: Mayor, what are your thoughts on the Democratic race?
Bloomberg: It's crazy, to say the least. We're in the middle of May and I have no clue who their nominee will be. I am sorry to see Senator Lincoln withdraw - she made a valiant effort and her candidacy was a huge step in the right direction for women's equality. Hopefully a female President is not too far in the future.

I also think it is exciting that we have two African-Americans left in the race, with Senator Obama having a great chance at the nomination and Ms. Winfrey playing a crucial role going forward. Another step towards progress for our nation.

Reporter #3: Who do you believe should be the Democratic nominee?
Bloomberg: Should? Well, all three are great individuals, but I certainly think Governor Dean has earned it the most. Ms. Winfrey has won two states and D.C., Senator Obama has won four states. In comparision, Governor Dean has won all of the big states, as well as almost every state Kerry won four years ago. I think there will be a lot of unhappy people if Dean isn't nominated - I certainly would welcome them to our camp. I think the Northeast would be completely in play if Senator Obama or Ms. Winfrey are able to snag the nomination from Dean.

Reporter #4: What is the campaign strategy going forward?
Bloomberg: We're still assessing things - the unique part about being an Independent candidate is you don't necessarily have history on your side to help you determine which states you can contest in. With our financial resources, we have continued to impose a fifty-state strategy, and with a new office opening this weekend in Little Rock, Arkansas, we will officially have two offices in every state.

Reporter #2: Anything else you'd like to share?
Bloomberg: Actually, I do. I will be away from the trail for a week in July. After being together for eight years, I am excited to announce that my partner Diana and I will express our love through marriage. She is very excited to start coming out on the campaign trail with me - I think it's important for America to get to know their next first lady.

Bloomberg will tie the knot with partner in July wedding

I'll attend the debate.

Governor Dean's Campaign Schedule, May 12th-25th:

May 12th:

-Meet & Greet in Jenkins, Kentucky
-Town Hall in Harlan, Kentucky

"If we've learned anything from the past century, it's that the labor union, the ability of individual workers to organize for better treatment for all as they did here in Harlan, is the cornerstone of change and reform in America. As your President, I will support the repeal of the Taft-Hartley Act!"

May 13th:

-Meet & Greet in Richmond, Kentucky
-Rally in Lexington, Kentucky
-Fundraiser in Lexington, Kentucky

May 14th:

-Town Hall in Frankfort, Kentucky
-Meeting with labor leaders in Louisville, Kentucky
-Rally in Louisville, Kentucky

May 15th:

-Flight to Portland, Oregon
-Rally in Portland, Oregon
-Fundraiser in Portland, Oregon

"It's been a while since I've come this far out west, but it's great to see this side of the nation again. Oregon has a long and proud history of progressive politics, standing up for working Americans, and opposing unjust wars. I'm confident that with this sort of record, the Beaver State will be another step on the road to victory in November."

May 16th:

-Rally in Beaverton, Oregon
-Fundraiser in Hillsboro, Oregon
-Rally in Woodburn, Oregon

May 17th:

-Breakfast with Ted Kulongoski and Ron Wyden in Salem, Oregon (seeking endorsements)
-Fundraiser in Salem, Oregon
-Rally in Eugene, Oregon

"This is what I like to see. A crowd of supporters of all different backgrounds, coming together under that one unifying idea: a better America for themselves and their children. Senator Obama might like to say that I'm just another establishment guy, that only he represents real change. *crowd boos* Let's see him say that to you guys! A 16% lead in national polling isn't grassroots support? Winning the popular vote in 23 states while Obama's won in five isn't grassroots support? Then what is, Senator?"

May 18th:

-Rally in Bend, Oregon
-Meet & Greet in Redmond, Oregon
-Meet & Greet in Hood River, Oregon

May 19th:

-Rally in Gresham, Oregon
-Fundraiser in Portland, Oregon

May 20th:

-GOTV/Rally in Portland, Oregon
-Flight to Montana

"Whatever happens tonight, we'll fight on until Denver if need be."

May 21st:

-Rally in Missoula, Montana
-Meet & Greet in Deer Lodge, Montana
-Rally in Anaconda, Montana

"The longer we remain divided, the weaker we are to face McCain and Bloomberg in November. Montana, it's time to fight for progress, against greed, against war! Let's take back Washington together!"

May 22nd:

-Rally in Butte, Montana
-Meeting with Brian Schweitzer in Helena, Montana (seeking endorsement)
-Meet & Greet in Bozeman, Montana

May 23rd:

-Rally in Butte, Montana
-Fundraiser in Billings, Montana

"This isn't the last you'll see of me, Montana. In the general election, Montana will be a battleground state. Clinton carried it in 1992 and only lost by a hair in 1996. You have a Democratic governor and two Democratic senators. On November 4th, Montana's gonna flip blue!"

May 24th:

-Flight to New York
-Fundraiser in New York, New York
-Rally in New York, New York with Governor Eliot Spitzer

May 25th:

-Flight to Puerto Rico
-Rest

Nader debate proposal is interesting. What do you (democrats and McCain) think?
The problem I see is that Dean, Obama and Oprah will have to debate soon. And too many debates is not realistic, and not with 3 democrats vs. 2 independents vs. 1 republican. But if you all like the idea, why not in June-July?

I'd say we wait until the Fall and just include Third Partiers along with the nominees of the major parties.
