Goodman on McCain

"Perhaps Senator McCain should focus on winning his own party's nomination before launching attack ads on independent candidates"

I think this is the first serious thing that Goodman has said in this race.

Enough, Clarence. Some people are actually serious about playing this game, and you're ruining it. Don't play unless you are going to be serious about it.
If you're "serious" about a phony web election, you've got to work on your priorities...you have youth and health- go find a nice girl and have a good time, or go have fun with friends your age- getting worked up about me cracking some jokes on an internet forum shows me your immaturity, not the other way around...
I kind of agree with both of you. On one hand, this is a serious game, and I want to enjoy it. On the other hand, having Goodman involved isn't all that bad, but I doubt a real life Goodman campaign would ever get a lot, if any, ballot access or polling above 0.3%. So to have other players (and I am guilty of this) attacking Goodman or airing television attacks on him is not worth it.

New Winfrey Ad

[Voiceover] More war, more debt, fewer jobs. George Bush's administration has been terrible for America.

[Picture of Bush morphs into a picture of Blanche Lincoln]

[Voiceover] Blanche Lincoln says she'll bring change. But let's look at her record. She voted for the Iraq War that has costs the lives of over 3000 brave American soldiers. And she was one of the only Democrats that voted for Bush's tax cuts for the rich that have driven us deep into debt to pad the pockets of Bush and his millionaire friends.

[This rubber stamp on a picture of Lincoln]

[Voiceover] Blanche Lincoln has been a rubber stamp for George Bush in Congress, supporting his agenda over and over. We need change, not more of the same failed policies. A vote for Blanche Lincoln is a vote for continuing the disastrous policies of the Bush administration.

The ad will be running in the following Super Tuesday states:

(including very heavy rotation in the pre-Super Tuesday states of South Carolina and Florida)

New Chuck Hagel AD

"A true conservative

Chuck Hagel voted for free trade, tax cuts, and peace. He voted against gun control, No Child Left Behind, and public health care. He's a conservative in the truest sense, standing against his own party on big spending initiatives and give aways to liberals.

When it all comes down to it, who else do you have?"

I'm Chuck Hagel and I approve this message.

This ad will be shown in Michigan, Nevada, Louisana, Colorado, California, Missouri, Montana, Alaska, North Dakota, Illinois, Alabama, Tennessee, and Kansas

OOC: Why is that a bad idea? It's clear that Lincoln is my main competitor in a lot of places, including South Carolina especially. She's got a lot in her past that makes her vulnerable.

IC: We understand voters' frustration with negative ads, and we have certainly been upset at mud that the other candidates have slung at Winfrey over the course of this campaign. But the fact is that Senator Lincoln's record is quite different from what she would like voters to think it is, and it would be a disservice to the voters who deserve to know the truth if we were to let her twisting of the truth go unchecked.

Statement from Senator Lincoln Herself
Yes, the attacks which have been leveled against me are true.  I did vote for both the Iraq war and for those tax cuts.  I regret both of those votes.  What president Bush said he would do in Iraq did not happen and that angers me.  He lied not only to me but to our country.  Regarding the tax cuts, I never imagined that this would happen.  But you what, both Senator Obama and Ms. Winfrey would have voted for the Iraq war.  I also belive that they both would have also have even voted for the tax cuts, which also helped the middle class, which they do not mention at all.  It is also kind of funny this is coming from a person with no experience in the political world, she says she wants to change it, but it is hard to change something coming from the outside when some, not including me, think she is a joke.

OOC: Aye dawg, I was kinda defending you, and I don't think it was a bad idea, its just the negative attacks are kinda getting outta control.
IC: No, I would not have voted for the Iraq War or the tax cuts for the wealthy. These negative attacks are getting out of hand, on both sides. And for the duration of the primaries, I call for a pact of no attack ads at all.

New (Positive) Winfrey Ad: Healthcare

[Picture of Winfrey as a child]

[Winfrey Voiceover] I was born in Mississippi, a state with one of the highest uninsured rates in the nation.

[Pictures of Winfrey's hometown in Kosciusko]

[Winfrey Voiceover]I've seen far too many people who have gotten sick but couldn't go to the doctor because they couldn't afford it.

[Pictures of poverty in Mississippi]

[Changes to shot of Oprah Winfrey speaking directly to the camera, looking emotional but still composed and determined]

[Winfrey Voiceover] It is a travesty that this should happen in the wealthiest nation on earth. This is America. Nobody should have to die because they cannot afford medical care. As President, I'll create a national, single-payer, Medicare-for-all healthcare plan that will cover every man, woman, and child in America. I'm Oprah Winfrey and I approve this message because it is deeply wrong that anyone in America should not be able to afford medical care.

Ad to run in South Carolina, Florida and all Super Tuesday states, with a special emphasis on the South
