How do you do it? Do you just try to approximate the lines by hand or is there some type of software?

I ask because I'd like to have blank maps of the current Minnesota House and Senate so I can fill in with some results.

Specifically the current ones (in which case, I stole the one Miles created, enlarged it in Paint, and smoothed the boundaries. You'd have to ask him how he created the original) or generally (in which case I gave a fairly detailed explanation in a post on the International Elections board). Found it.

I just pull the actual shapefiles from DRA and then use a program called SnagIt Editor to edit the shapefiles and create the blank maps. I can see what I can do for you, BRTD.
