Less than seven hours to go.

I can almost taste the blood, the death, the destruction that shall be reaped upon the land very much deserving of such agony, pain and despair.

Does work that way, actually.

Remember, I motion to table, it only gets seconded unless he then still doesn't show up. And then it goes to a vote. So don't panic, Nix!

Marokai, He should be panicking though, OH SHOULD HE BE PANICKING!!!! Evil

I don't think this is a good idea. We could end up electing a president and a vice president who don't get along and wouldn't work well together. Also, one thing I like about the current system is that presidential candidates are able to run alongside people from parties that would probably not be able to win a presidential election. I suspect this proposed system would only make it more likely that we'd have two Liberals in office at the same time.

It's not necessary, but I don't know that a Napoleon-Snowstalker or a Napoleon-clarence administration would have been the best face for Atlasia. Tongue

I'd like to see some reform to the VP position if this went through - it still isn't a very important position.

The underlying bill has a motion to table filed by Senator NC Yankee, and it has been seconded by another senator duly choosen and sworn. A vote is now open on the motion to table the underlying bill. This is a 2/3rds vote and will last for 48 hours.

Vote on Motion to Table:

Aye (3): HagridoftheDeep, NC Yankee, and Simfan34
Nay (0):
Abstain (4): Averroës Nix, Franzl, JulioMadrid, and Snowstalker

For the motion to table to pass, two thirds of those voting (excluding abstentions) must support the motion.

This has been tabled, people. Why did we exclude abstentions again? Should we really have it so that only three people are needed to trash a bill?
