If the General had future Congressional aspirations, does this mean he's finished?

Well, I'll be damned. The title of the Petraeus biography that Broadwell woman was writing is "All In"!

Was he cheating with his biographer?

That's the story I just read.

Look at his wife and then look at her; can't blame him!

Read a conspiracy theory that Obama was going to try to shift 'blame' for the Benghazi theory to Petraeus, so Petraeus resigned to avoid that.

His lasting legacy will be his contribution to the War on Terror. This will be remembered as, at most, a footnote.

Apparently, she spent the last year he was in Afghanistan embedded in his office, examining him from every possible point of view.

Paraphrasing from an actual description of her book.

EDIT:  Everyone needs to click Lief's link RIGHT NOW.

Looks like MoveOn.org was right all along:

LOL, I was just thinking of that. It was pretty stupid how Congress voted to condemn MoveOn.

Was he cheating with his biographer?

Just like Jack Welch, and with an equally high price tag.

No it wasn't. This has nothing to do with that.

The FBI apparently discovered it while looking for a security breach.

I can understand why Petraeus resigned.  While no longer under military jurisdiction, he lived with code of honor for several decades.

So long as there wasn't a security issue, I do wish he had stayed.

I will not post a reply to these two posts for a couple of reasons...

1)  I don't want to be hit with 10 death points for being "inappropriate" (code word for speaking the truth about the elephant in the room).

2)  I don't want an absentee mod who doesn't bother to read 99% of my posts to come in and read a factual objective statement by me to summarily declare I want to kill all females.

The real elephant in the room is, of course, that perceived physical attractiveness neither justifies nor excuses otherwise unjustified or unexcused adultery.

No one said anything about justification.  When the weather man reports the weather I don't ask him to justify why it is pouring rain on my day off.
