WTF, this is the BIGGEST ENDORSEMENT Kerrey could get. This could potentially give him the election next week Smiley

Actually rooting for Fischer over a war criminal (if what I've heard of Kerrey's service is true)

Kerrey's momentum is just rolling along like thunder.

Which is funny because Kerrey killed more Vietnamese civilians by his own hand than Operation Rolling Thunder did.

I'm stunned. There is a chance (granted, still remote), that we could hold the Nebraska Senate seat. Wow.

Hard to say what the facts are. But there's something to be said for voting for someone who actually shows some interest in avoiding getting involved in another needless war, no matter what that person may have done in a previous one.

This would be the coup de grace of this election.

Here's hoping for a D+4 seat gain! Thats still pretty much impossible, Rs are almost certain to win at least 1 of NV, AZ, MT, WI, NE, and ND.  Though I wasn't counting King in Maine as a Democrat so if he caucuses with them...

I don't like Chuck Hagel. He's been a pest his entire career in politics. (I do respect his military service though.)

Is it really a game change? Is Hagel even relevant anymore?

Yeah I think it is just marginally relevant.. its a neat news story for Kerrey and might swing a few votes his way - a few older voters who remember Hagel well..  Since he's so close already, it improves his chances, though he's still clearly the underdog.

Hagel was, remember, a Senator until 2009, and is still well-respected in Nebraska to the best of my limited understanding.

Well he consistently got about 380,000 Nebraskans liking him well enough to vote for him..

From what I'm hearing (I'm friends with a Kerrey staffer), this ia big.  It could actually shift enough votes to give it to Kerrey.

Not really. Written-in Heineman would win.

Wait a sec, you have information from a staffer from a political campaign that their candidate is going to win?  That's quite the bombshell.

If Kerrey wins, I'll have Virgil Goode displayed in my signature for a month.
