I know it's Zogby but I don't think Virginia is as republican as people believe.

If VA comes in for Obama first, we will have a very short election night, we will be hearing a early Romney concession speech.

Zogby sucks.

But VA is by no means in Romney's corner yet.

Most people take it with a pinch of salt on here. Same with Rasmussen.

Good, that's how I look at most all.. I think most have a view they want to push so most put out numbers bias toward a candidate.

Yup, if it's called before 10, it's over.

Not if NH goes Romney, could still drag on quite late, couldn't it?:

what I cant figure out is why NewsMax and the Washington Times hooked up with Zogby.  Now both keep reporting how the Prez is ahead in VA, FL, etc.   I supsect next time they will go with Gravis or someone else more 'reliable' wink wink

The idea that Virginia was won for Romney is completely based upon media chatter and has nothing to do with quantitative data.

Guys, it's Zogby.  Don't start acting like the blue avatars here when Rasmussen shows an advantage for Romney. Tongue

Sure, but a sizable majority of recent polls have shown Obama ahead in VA, not just this one.

Huge AA population

Nova voting like Maryland

Ton of immigrants from darn near every continent in the world.

Elderly old school southerners  dying off, and being replaced by people with more progressive views on race and social issues etc...

I believe it.......

This is not isolated.  Do what I did.  Go to literally EVERY state Rasmussen has polled in the last two weeks and add 4 or 5 to Obama.  In line with the average of all the rest almost every time.  In a crazy polling year, it's the most consistent gauge we have.

Even nationally... Romney +4.  Nate Silver has this at Obama +1.  Add 5, every time.

The old sayings about broken clocks and blind squirrels come to mind here.....
