Let's face it, even Romney doesn't believe in his tax plan. He threw that 20% cut thing out in the middle of his primary when there was an arms race between the candidates on who could cut the most taxes. The campaign never put out their own study showing it adds up because they know they pulled the number out of their butts. In the end I'm pretty sure that Romney would abandon the 20% across the board pledge as soon as the plan hit congress where the CBO wouldn't allow him to use magic super growth projections to make it add up. He isn't stupid enough to increase taxes on middle class to pay for rich tax cut as that would lose him reelection.
