In true Reform style, since no candidate received a majority in the first round this now goes to a runoff.

In the first round, party founder and long-time presidential candidate Ross Perot was shockingly eliminated, placing third with only 12% of the vote. Governor Jesse Ventura of Minnesota came out on top, but just missed the 50% threshold to avoid a runoff. He now goes into the runoff against Pat Buchanan.

Map of first round results:

Green: Ventura
Yellow: Buchanan
Red: Perot
Blue: Lamm

Polls open for 3 days.

While a difficult choice, Ventura seems to have greater claim to the Reform Party nomination than Buchanan had. Buchanan should have accepted the Taxpayers Party's nomination.

Tough decision, but Buchanan in the end.

Definitely Ventura. Mostly because I dislike Buchanan, though.

Buchanan, even if he is not as conservative as I would like.

Buchanan is a Nazi apologist and an anti-semite.

The choice is pretty clear. Ventura all the way!

I love them both, but Buchanan fits better in another party, so Ventura.

Buchanan is a Nazi apologist and an anti-semite.

The choice is pretty clear. Ventura all the way!
Lol.
Buchanan, even if he is not as conservative as I would like.
Really? In foreign policy or just in general?
