Jake says no. I figured I'd make a poll on this.

Of course, I voted yes.

She can't be President anyway. We'd need a Constitutional Amendment.

I posted my reason in the other thread.  And let me say, I don't have a problem with a women president.  It's the single part I don't like.

I know that. I'm assuming they are not for the purpose of the thread.

It depends on her views. I wouldnt vote for Hilary Clinton married or unmarried. There is surly a single woman candidate out there that could get my vote.

It would depend upon how attractive she was....

Seriously, I would really only care about her views on political issues, and how she came across personally.  Marital status would not be a big issue one way or the other.

I don't care about gender or the sex life of my politicians, as long as it is not immoral or interfering with their duties.

I think 34 out of 40 really speaks for itself.

Ah, anyone old enough when cigarette companies were still alowed to advertise?  Such days of government non-interference seem strange and foreign now, do they not?  The LP looks better by the day.  Smiley

There's also the question of - would you vote for her?
This poll doesn't say anything about her being single:

harder question isn't it?  do you vote on stuff like the candidate's gender or marital status?  my guess is no.  the answer to "would you vote for her?" involves knowing her position on issues, her past voting record (if applicable), and--just as is the case with married folks and with men--does she come across as someone you could trust?

As an aside, we have a logical/syllogistical/philosophical problem with the fact that 59% of "independents" would vote for a woman if their "party" nominated her.  (?!?!?!)  ummm, leave it to Fox to come up with that sort of bizarre observation.

brain-fart.
