Legal in some circumstances: 37%
Illegal in all circumstances: 10%
Younger people are more likely to be polarized on the issue, with 58% saying legal in all circumstances but also 13% think it should be illegal. People over 65 are more lilkely to say legal in some circumstances at 49%.
Women are 2-3% more pro choice than men.
The more wealthy you are, the more likely you are to be pro choice- interestingly enough. 17% of those making less than $20,000 think it should be illegal compared to 59% of those making over $100,000 who think it should be completely legal.
People on the Prairies favour illegality the most (16%) while Quebec is the most pro choice (62% in all circumstances)
BQ followed by the NDP are most pro choice, and the Liberals aren't far behind. The Greens believe it or not are more pro life than the Tories (17-16%). Tories are least completely pro choice (40%) though.
They also asked about when life began. Poor choices given. For example, "life begins after birth" (rather than at birth) was one of the options. Only 13% picked that option, 44% said at conception and 39% said when the fetus is capable of living on its own.
