Take that! Grin

Donnelly is far from being the candidate I most want to win, but Mourdock is one of those I most want to lose.

Lugar is likely voting for Donnelly.

I bet Lugar has to suppress the urge to basically say "SUCKS TO BE YOU, MOURDOCK" whenever the latter calls him. Maybe in different words since he's a polite 80 year old Senator, but the same sentiment.

No he isn't.

Lugar stated the day after the primary that we need to unite behind Mourdock, but also stated that he won't be stumping this fall. He did do some things with Mourdock this summer, including introducing him at the annual GOP Breakfast.

Conservatives are sore loserish traitors if they don't support moderates who win primaries. Vice-versa not so much, apparently. Good riddance to a sore loser.

Not entirely but I do feel there's a double standard.

Lugar hasn't been a sore loser - deciding not to spend his entire fall going around the state campaigning for a guy that ran personal attacks on you that severely damaged your stellar reputation as a statesman and instead spending it in D.C. trying to finish your time on a strong note isn't being a sore loser. Maybe if Lugar refused to endorse Mourdock or something, but as I plum said earlier, he's been very gracious throughout to Mourdock.
