It's time we face this threat, as it's been avoided by Atlasia and the international community for far too long. It is a haven for attacks and disappearances, and many of our citizens have been the victims of violence. We need to lead the way in eliminating this danger by rallying the country and the world to our cause. The apparent lack of order in this region is too much to ignore.

I am not one who argues in favor of military action lightly, but this is a smart and necessary use of our volunteer force, and we can conduct it efficiently. This big problem requires a big response, and I am afraid nothing short of war can solve it.

For a long time, this section of The Atlas Forums has spewed hate, hackery and mismanagement. Many of us have been victims of the irrational nonsense spewed by the likes of pblower and politico and often times felt foolish for being shamed in such a public manner. Today, I urge the senate to stand up against this oppression with the full backing of The People.

Friends, I don't normally stick my neck out to endorse such a controversial decision. While I am only a lowly IDS Legislature, I feel, as The People's Champion, I must reenter the wide, gaping halls of the senate, and let Our voices be heard. Because it isn't the voice of the loudest that gets the attention, it is the voice of the biggest - and The People, you, me, and every delicate baby and old lady in this country urge all of you great senators, with a tear in our eye, to rid us of this abscess on the face of this forum.

I do not find it ethical to give the President a blank check to declare war on other boards. For one thing, this resolution contains no expiration date, so it is my understanding that this would give any president—irrespective of who is in office and when—the power to initiate force against the 2012 board whenever he feels like it. Not only is this irresponsible, but it spreads a message of "peace through fear" rather than "peace through strength," an act of which I do not believe will be seen in positive light by the Atlas community. I say we ought to continue our peace talks with the 2012 board now—not undermine these talks by putting them on our radar screen.

If Hagrid is dead set opposed and guarranteed to vote nay, UC is still possible, because he has no incentive to delay it in that case. But if he wants to add conditions or such, then this will not be possible.
