Polling by St. Petersburg Polls.

Charlie Crist- 61%
Buddy Dyer- 7%
Nan Rich- 4%
Alex Sink- 25%
Rod Smith- 3%

Crist has a 73/16 favorable rating with FL Dems. The only other candidate with strong enough name recognition is Sink, who's at 55/21.

1689 Democrats, 2.4% MoE.

Whatever, Crist is fine. Who else are we gonna run in Florida who could win? Our bench is awful.

I think Anthony Kennedy Shriver could make a go at it.

If he wins, I'm going to make jokes about the "second coming of Crist" until he leaves office.

Rick Scott will nicely crush this chump especially with Crist's economic record.

Actually, we really can't.

The issue with that is that nobody in Florida has any idea who that is besides being a Kennedy.

Well, not yet, but that's why Rick Scott has a 4 year term.

Come on, Democrats! You know better than this. Tongue

I bet he loses in the primary if he runs - I'm sure Democrats will find plenty to attack him on from his time as Governor.

Doubtful, especially if the D vote is split between someone like Sink and Rich; Crist can run up high enough margins in the North, among African-Americans, among teachers, and in Tampa Bay to prevail.

Crist is probably still our best option of beating Rick, but he's flawed enough that a more generic one (and more importantly, not a turncoat) like Sink or Rich would be favoured IMO.

Let's not forget something important: Rick Scott is clearly going the way of Jim Gibbons and Frank Murkowski.  Democrats don't have an easy ride just yet.

Florida doesn't have a runoff btw, so it's entirely possible Crist could win the Democratic primary with like a third of the vote against split opposition.

For all the Democrats whining about Crist, there was another poll out today where he's almost tied with Sink.

Wait...so super unpopular Rick Scott is only three points to supposedly uber popular Charlie Crist? LOL! Bring it on. Sort of makes me hope Scott doesn't get a primary challenge.

Charlie Crist got a hug from the pizza guy.

And of course, since it's necessary to make Sanchez lose his lunch, Crist & Lois:
