and now that I'm done describing every college student ever: I tend to have a somewhat hypomanic personality that leads me to impulsive things like reckless bike maneuvers, excessive forwardness with strangers, and general lack of inhibition/shame (even with girls.)  Oh, and I'll answer nearly any question I'm asked, and -- after a minimal amount of alcohol -- I'll even do it on video.  I can keep this all under control when I need to, but not always when I probably should.

Honestly, this describes me perfectly (except replace reckless biking with way-too-fast driving), but I've never really considered it a problem before. I consider my openness with others to be a net positive; the fearless forwardness has definitely paid off for my social life much more often than not. I just consider it all a part of who I am. Why look at it negatively Alcon?

yeah, as someone who leans (or more than leans) in the opposite direction, I tell him ___

Walking or biking for me, but this has been a big problem for me in the past. I've become better at it over the past few years, though.

Ah, what fun. Exciting and new will quickly fade to embarrassing and forgotten, so enjoy!

You just posted a redundancy, clarence.  There's nothing wrong with giving money for services rendered, but ideally she should not know your real name and certainly not where you live.

1. Sleeping far too little.
2. Like Alcon said, 'productive-feeling time-wasters'; the biggest two being this forum and texting girls I have very little chance with.
3. Allowing people to borrow money/things. I myself am a heavy borrower and will confess to not being as heavy of a returner, so I suppose this might even out in the end, but I feel sympathy towards people who need some small amount of cash/a pencil or something and am willing to give it to them.
4. Disorganization. This is the key one and is (basically) what is keeping me from being valedictorian. I lose everything. I have, on multiple occasions, lost backpacks.

I'm not sure if I should feel proud or sad of the fact that I really don't do drugs. I have drank and I have smoked marijuana before (never tobacco, and I don't think I ever will), but only on very rare occasions and it really doesn't get to the level of interfering with my daily life, the way those things do.

Well you're typing fairly coherently, so you're not that drunk. Wink

I had a hard time typing it. I was dizzy so it took like 3 minutes Tongue

Yeah, it certainly is not something I would do often. I was home alone and had some beers which my brother had hidden. I drank five of them, was up to 5:45 AM on the computer, listening to music and throwing a bipolar pity party/celebration of my life so far. I remember all of it. It's good to be sober again; I was getting kind of scared after a while, with the extreme dizziness and all.

Apparently sleep deprivation is sorta like drunkenness, so I've stayed up for 23 hours straight-->2 hour nap-->12 more hours.

It doesn't count as being drunk if you're not around other people who'll laugh at you. Tongue

before we learn our lesson
let's see how bad things can get

and I'll drink myself to death or at least
I'll drink myself to sleep
chain smoke my way through the gaps in between
my aspirations and my apathy

I visit Starbucks almost every day, despite the fact that I have a perfectly serviceable coffee maker at home. I don't know why; something about the environment makes it enticing.

Mods, please merge with the Update Thread.

Anyways, the standard procrastination and sleep deprivation ones apply to me.

If you are riding a motorbike, playing 'chicken' with a car is a bad idea.

-Cannabis use in an environment where I know I'll have an awkward introverted high aftwards
-Excessive alcohol intake when I know I need to be up early in the morning
-Coming up with incredibly inventive forms of procrastination when dealing with an academic deadline
-Not sleeping enough at night

Probably a few more there, but those are the big ones that come to mind at the moment.

Except the Cannabis use bit, this. Also what Alcon said, which is strange given that usually I'm most introverted person I know but occasionally... (and not even when Alcohol is involved. Actually then, I tend to be more careful....).
