http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/election-2012/wp/2012/08/27/ted-cruz-we-can-be-thankful-for-hurricane-isaac/

At Sunday’s Faith and Freedom Coalition rally, Texas Senate candidate Ted Cruz (R) cracked wise about the tropical storm that’s swept through the Caribbean and headed towards the Gulf Coast.

“We can be thankful for Hurricane Isaac,” he said. ”If nothing else it kept Joe Biden away.”

Rep. Darrell Issa:
“Republicans are going to take Washington by storm on Jan. 20 of next year, so if this is the first storm of Republicans taking control of our country again, making America competitive again, I’m fine with that,” he told reporters at breakfast meeting.

Funny now, but with a huge potential to backfire if Isaac proves highly deadly, which thankfully does not appear likely.  Cruz especially is an idiot since Isaac could have decided to head more westward and hit Texas.  At least Issa doesn't have to worry about hurricanes in California.

I laughed, but that's because I have a morbid sense of humor, not because I agree with the tinfoil hatter Cruz.

I don't care what Cruz said, but I take issue with what Issa said. I take issue with a lot of what Issa says. Most of all, I take issue with him, period.

Every hurricane has a silver lining.  Smiley

One big bag of wind kept another big bag of wind away.
