It would make more sense for the Republicans to drop Romney.

Adding "Vice President" in front of her name would probably be the most disasterous thing I can think of for a potential 2016 Hillary run.

If they had pulled a Nelson Rockefeller, and Biden had announced that he wouldn't be running again, it might have worked out well.  Doing it now would be a disaster, minus some extenuating circumstance.

It's nice to see someone on this forum with a good sense of humor.

the only rumors are coming from the right wing media. This is just conservatives trying to stir up trouble. Nothing wrong with that, but there is no actual "buzz" in the MSM in general here.

Look at the difference:

Maybe Axelrod wouldn't rule out Biden being dropped after witnessing Biden's reaction to being informed that he has to debate Ryan:

Or maybe it was after Biden's realization he should spend the entire fall stoking racial divisions with a faux southern accent:

It will actually be a lot smarter for Obama to pick Mark Warner as VP.
IF Obama can keep Virginia, then he is guaranteed to win re-election.
This would actually be a smart decision from an electoral standpoint.

If Virginia's 5.9% unemployment rate isn't enough to get Obama the state, a favorite son running mate is unlikely to help.  Virginia will not be the state with the 270th EV.

Not so.  Obama's chief henchman Axelrod himself refused to categorically rule out the possibity on MSNBC.

Anyone watching the clip can see that both the questioner and Alexrod were treating this as a joke

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/48687416#48687416

of course the OP and source dont show the video because anyone watching it can see plainly that this is all a joke

Come on, buddy, Ryan looks pretty bad in those photos.  I think Joe Biden looks fantastic for his age, and when young was tremendously more handsome than Ryan ever was.. but you're quite right he's now an old man..

Politico, you are aware there's less than a four year age difference between Biden and Romney right? We should all be talking about how washed up Mitt is compared to young Obama. Let's face it, Mitt's washed up. He's been running for President since 2006 and is still losing. Obama is the future. This is his time and his town. Mitt's just living in it.

Despite the age difference, Romney holds his own in a side-by-side comparison with 2012 Obama (much like Reagan and Carter in 1980 despite Reagan being about 14 years older; the presidency aged Carter because he was in over his head, and we're seeing the same thing with Obama):

Image is everything post-Eisenhower.

The image Obama is projecting right now is "nice guy, but in over his head." Look at how horribly he has aged. That did not happen to Clinton his first four years.

Yes, it did.
President Clinton also seemed a lot older after four years. Was he in over this head too?
As did George W. Bush
The stress of the job does that to you.
And we all know Romney dyes his hair and uses Botox.

Yes, it did.

Those pictures are not evidence since they are not dated. The former may be from the 1991/1992 campaign trail with the latter picture possibly being from far into his second term.

Inauguration Day 1993:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_inauguration_of_Bill_Clinton

Inauguration Day 1997:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_inauguration_of_Bill_Clinton

A normal four year progression for somebody his age, unlike what we have seen with Obama (Compare Obama today to what he looked like on Inauguration Day: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:US_President_Barack_Obama_taking_his_Oath_of_Office_-_2009Jan20.jpg). Obama's trajectory is more in line with Bush's and Carter's, two presidents who were clearly in over their head.

Obama dealt with the worst recession since the Great Depression. The '91 Recession was nowhere near as bad.
You do realize that African-Americans age differently than Caucasians right? Our hair gets peppered.

Caucasians goes full on gray, then white.

The narrative on the VP this week was about dropping Biden, when the Democrats hoped it would be about attacks on Ryan.  Some of came from the author a new book on the Obama Administration:  http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/political-animal-a/2012_08/so_much_easier_to_spin_in_fact039297.php

Supposedly, Hillary! turned down an offer two weeks ago.

The only thing worse than keeping Biden on the ticket is dropping him at this point.

A week ago, Democrats were slobbering at the prospect of attacking Ryan.  This week, they are on the defensive for Biden.  A week is an eternity in politics.

BTW, I may be wrong, but I think botox is against Romney's religion. I mean, the dude does not even ingest caffeine.

Romney's looks are the result of a healthy lifestyle his entire life and good genetics.

You do realize that the 1979-80 Recession was much worse than 1991 (and today) and the saying is "Black don't crack," don't you?  Roll Eyes
