I think that he would be doing better enough to be ahead of Obama. Not to pat ourselves too much on the back, but I think the expertise of the Forum would be a great help to Mittens. Not to mention the campaign currently is being terribly run so...

I had a dream a few nights ago where I was running for President and won based on the forum's advice.

The fundamental problem with the Romney campaign is Romney himself. He is uninspiring, consistently inconsistent with policy positions, a total gaffe machine, and the perfect caricature of the uncaring plutocrat. I vote for "exactly the same".

To be honest... I actually was playing 2012 on President Forever using the Atlas Forum conventional widsom. Won with 54% of the vote and took around 420 EV's

He'd have every state and Australia locked up.

Considering the ideological tilt of the Atlas Forum, I'm sure we would be doing our best to destroy Romney's campaign from within. OTOH, Romney is doing a pretty good job at that himself.

So maybe 2-3% worse than RL. At most.

1-2 points better, mainly because we'd spend so much time disagreeing on the best strategy.

I had a dream where I was well out in front in the polls but my campaign sunk because my comments on this forum was discovered by the New York Times.

For me, I'd be having Romney tour the South the entire campaign.

I agree with Kal, he'd lose in a landslide. This forum is majority leftist and as such would give him terrible advice so Obama would win.

I did pre order it. I had mixed feelings about the beta but I will not say anything until the full version is out

I did do it in the 2008 version with my 2012 scenario. I used the basic conventional wisdom of  the Atlas forum to basically pick a VP candidate that adds credibility (or integrity) and experience to my ticket and be as positive as possible but also cut into the candidate's weakness on issues and traits. Of course I combined it with my +/-15-10-5 state strategy and it was a done deal.
