Quinnipiac poll of New York (all voters, not just Democratic primary voters):

http://www.quinnipiac.edu/institutes-and-centers/polling-institute/new-york-state/release-detail?ReleaseID=1779

Do you approve of Andrew Cuomo's job as governor?
yes 73%
no 16%

Would Andrew Cuomo make a good president?
yes 40%
no 30%
not sure 30%

Do you want Andrew Cuomo to run for president in 2016?
yes 36%
no 39%
not sure 26%

Would Hillary Clinton make a good president?
yes 61%
no 34%
not sure 5%

Would Clinton or Cuomo make a better president?
Clinton 54%
Cuomo 30%
not sure / other 16%

Again, that's among all voters.  Among Democrats only, the numbers are:

Cuomo would be a good president 48% - 22%
Clinton would be a good president 78% - 18%

Who would be better?

Clinton 67%
Cuomo 21%

Interestingly, 44% of Dems want Cuomo to run in 2016, even though some of those people prefer Clinton.  I guess they want both to run so that they'll have more choices if they change their mind!

Also of interest: Clinton's lead over Cuomo on who would be the better president is markedly stronger among blacks and Hispanics than it is among whites.

Btw, I can't read this full article because I'm not a subscriber, but Cuomo has already raised $19.3 million for his reelection campaign (a race that doesn't take place until 2014), putting him well ahead of every other governor in the country:

Money not spent on his reelection could end up being rolled over into a presidential campaign.
